I
hope everyone’s holiday was enjoyable and spent with family and friends. I was proud to see the overwhelmingly generous response from the membership in support of the “Angel Tree.” Florida “winter” is upon us and things at Suntree are quite lively. Pickleball, tennis and golf; the weather continues to encourage outdoor activities. The social calendar is full, the golf course looks excellent, and our greens continue to stimp at 12 or better. Suntree Country Club really is thriving.

Our assessment improvements are off to a great start. The driving range project has turned out phenomenally and the response from the membership is overwhelmingly positive. The next several months will see the sprinklers and bulkheads replaced and the landscaping along hole #1 on Challenge redone. The next year holds some exciting things in store for our Club. As I noted last issue, under recommendations from the strategic planning committee, the firm of Ervin, Lovett, and Miller (ELM) has been engaged to help us create a Facilities Master Plan. They have started to explore our campus and will be connecting with the membership to better understand what Suntree means to each of us, and how everyone feels about its current state and our future needs. A formal introduction will be sent out in the near future, with surveys and subsequent focus groups to follow. The Board highly encourages everyone to earnestly engage in this process - membership wants and needs are what will help guide the next 20 years at Suntree. 2026 promises to be another fantastic year. I look forward to seeing everyone on campus and always have time to hear what is on your mind. So, come on out to the Club and see what everyone is talking about! M E SSAG E from the GEN ER AL MA NAGE R Dear Members, n behalf of our over 200 staff members, I would like to thank all of you for your generous contributions to the employee holiday fund. The monies collected were distributed to all our part-time and full-time year-round staff based on their length of service to the Club. This included staff in all our departments from Administration, Golf, Grounds, Food & Beverage, Facilities Maintenance and Tennis & Racquet Sports.

Your generosity and support reinforce why it is a highly desirable workplace and the best place to work in Brevard County. Campus Improvements 2025 was a year dedicated to long term strategic planning as well as a focus on fiscal health. You will hear more about these strategic plans in early Q1 2026, and your input will be needed throughout the year as the Strategic Planning Committee begins their work. This does not mean that we will forgo operational and maintenance improvements to our campus. The COMPASS Group’s fixed asset management and replacement plan has been implemented and will contribute to this year’s campus improvements. We will continue to invest in the tennis/racquets area resurfacing tennis courts, installing an ice/water machine and ball machine, enclosing the cart barn to protect the golf carts from the elements, allowing them to be more presentable to the membership and their guests. We will be investing in new technology on the golf course and in our accounting department to be more efficient with billing, receiving and inventory controls as well as continuing replacements for HVAC units and kitchen and refrigeration equipment. Assessment Projects • The driving range upgrades have been completed and were on time and on budget. • We have confirmed and engaged the contractor for the Classic Course irrigation head replacement as well as the additional irrigation the is needed on both the Classic Course and the Challenge Course. This work will begin and is expected to be completed during the spring aerification on both golf courses. • The contractor for the bulkhead work on both the Classic and Challenge golf courses has been engaged, and work is scheduled to begin during the spring aerification. The Classic bulkheading will be completed during the spring aerification where the Challenge Course bulkhead project will take place during both the spring and fall aerifications. The company will complete as much of the project on Challenge Course as they can in the spring and complete the rest during the fall aerification. This is the best way for us to accomplish the work given the amount of heavy machinery needed without disruption to you while playing golf. • We are in the process of receiving bids for the landscape upgrades along St. Andrews Boulevard. This project will take place during the first aerification of the Challenge

This project will not affect member play or access and will be complete once the bids are reviewed and approved by the committees and the Board of Directors. • We are accepting bids for the material storage bins in the Greens and Grounds Facility as well. Again, this project will not impact member play or access and will be complete once the bids are reviewed and approved by the committees and the Board of Directors. Athletic & Social Events The majority of our social and athletic events have been oversubscribed this year, which shows the high level of member participation that we have. Our post-event surveys are being reviewed by committees, department directors and managers, and constant improvements are being made to meet our commitment to the membership to provide high value events all year long. We are adding additional events to the calendar to meet demand as we move forward and will be evaluating some of the less attended events to see how we can improve them or place a new event on the date. À la Carte Dining Our A la Carte Dining program continues to be highly rated for both the food and staffing experience. I want to thank Jim Tills, our Food & Beverage Director and Trent Hoare, our Assistant Food & Beverage Director for putting into place such a great staff training program. The program consists of extensive classroom training and shadowing a senior server for a period of up to 3 weeks. Once that time is done, the server completes a “Graduation Lunch” where they serve members of the House Committee and senior staff. At the lunch the server recites specials, opens bottles of wine, sells the specials, needs to answer questions about the history of the Club, key members & staff, and properly serve the table. The members in attendance will then grade the service and the grade is reviewed by Jim Tills and Trent Hoare, and when the passing score is achieved, the server would then be able to serve the membership independent of oversight. I appreciate their dedication to constantly improving the members’ experience and value and the leadership they have displayed throughout the process. G O L F CO U R SE News Looking Ahead While Building on Progress
A
s we enter the new year, it is a great opportunity to reflect on the progress made over the past season and look ahead to continued improvements across Suntree’s golf courses. The changes implemented throughout the year are beginning to show positive results, and they serve as motivation for our team as we continue caring for and investing in the long-term health of our courses. One of the most impactful improvements has been the continued success of our fertigation system. This system allows us to deliver nutrients more efficiently and consistently through irrigation, promoting healthier turf while improving resource management. It has become an important tool in our agronomic program and will remain a key part of our strategy moving forward.
With the arrival of cooler weather and reduced turf growth, our maintenance focus naturally shifts. This seasonal slowdown allows our team to dedicate more time to areas that may have received less attention during peak growing months. Members may not always see large crews on the course, but significant work is happening behind the scenes. Our goal is to minimize interference with play by scheduling staff strategically, ensuring you can enjoy your round while necessary maintenance continues efficiently. To further improve consistency and productivity, we are also adding staff to our maintenance team. This additional support will help us complete tasks that can occasionally be delayed on high-pressure days particularly Mondays, when multiple agronomic practices are often performed. Increasing staffing levels allows us to stay ahead of routine details while continuing to elevate overall course conditions. As we move through the winter months, Poa annua will begin to emerge in certain areas. While this grass is considered desirable turf in northern climates, it is classified as a weed in Florida. similar to goosegrass, Poa annua is challenging to control; however, our pre-emergent programs are designed to suppress its development. Weed pressure has already improved significantly since March, and we will continue building on that progress through proactive management.

Planned Projects and Upgrades for 2026 Looking ahead, we have several exciting projects and infrastructure upgrades planned for 2026 that are focused on improving playability, aesthetics, and long-term course sustainability, including: • Bulkhead replacements to improve shoreline stability, safety and course aesthetics • Classic Course irrigation head replacement to enhance irrigation efficiency and coverage and prevent saturated areas throughout the course • Additional irrigation heads on both courses to improve turf uniformity and address dry or stressed areas • St. Andrews landscaping upgrades to enhance visual appeal, privacy and entry presentation • New sand bins designed to protect bunker sand from debris, contamination, and moisture, ensuring cleaner sand and more consistent playing conditions These improvements represent a continued investment in the property and will have a positive impact on both playability and the long-term health of the golf courses. As always, we appreciate your help in maintaining excellent golf etiquette. Properly raking bunkers, placing rakes at exits, filling divots, following designated cart entry and exit points, and repairing ball marks all play a vital role in preserving course conditions for everyone. Finally, we would like to sincerely thank you for the holiday bonus and the many thoughtful gestures extended to our team throughout the year. Your generosity and support are truly appreciated. ickleball is in full swing at the Club! The inaugural seasons of both the PWR League and the Florida Team League have wrapped up, and what a success they were. We are incredibly grateful to our captains for stepping up, leading their teams, and ensuring everyone had a great experience. Season two is already underway with teams registered, and the first matches kick off on January 10th. We’re excited for another fantastic season ahead. It’s been amazing to see the growth of our players. Not long ago, many were beginners—now they’re competing confidently against established teams from other clubs. The progress across the board has been impressive. We’ve also welcomed many new faces on the courts, likely thanks to the holiday season. It’s great to see everyone out enjoying the best courts in Suntree! Be sure to take advantage of this beautiful weather while it lasts. Our Jingle Balls Mixer was a huge success—thank you to everyone who participated and got into the festive spirit. We’re planning another mixer in January, so keep an eye out for details. Mixers are a fantastic way to meet new players and connect for future games. If you’ve been on the sidelines and are ready to jump in, I encourage you to schedule a Pickleball 101 session with me. As we begin the new year, it’s thrilling to see so many new and familiar faces here at the Club! Our membership numbers are robust and continue to grow as we welcome new members to the community. In fact, demand is rising! We are close to initiating a waitlist for our Equity Golf & Racquet membership. With our targets set at 600 for Golf and 175 for Racquets, we are currently sitting at approximately 585 Golf and 170 Racquets memberships, respectively. This continued success is largely thanks to your support: Member referrals remain our most effective source of new memberships. Thank you for being our best ambassadors! We encourage you to continue inviting your friends and family to experience all the Club has to offer. With the start of the new year, now is a great time to ensure your profile is up-to-date! Please take the time to: 1) Verify your address, email, and phone numbers are accurate – this helps us maintain adequate and up-to-date communication with you. 2) Add a picture to your profile – this is super helpful for our staff for not only when keying in items purchased to make sure the proper member is charged, but to assist with putting faces to names. I
t is great to see the increased participation with our social membership and professionals entertaining clients and friends and family at the Club. We take that as a great compliment and appreciate your confidence as we continue to work to make you proud of your Club. We will continue to offer a la carte lunch and dinner service at the Pool Bar and Pavilion venue along with the clubhouse. Our hours of operations remain consistent and have been posted on our website for your reference. We are excited to offer several special Member events this winter to include a Blues Brothers Review, a Pearl Brunch, and Painting with a Twist. We have also secured some wine makers to showcase their wines and backstories about their vineyards. We are working closely with the Social Committee and plan to offer some fun events to include member favorites like Trivia & Name That Tune. Please continue to offer suggestions for events you would like to see us host.
