In a heartening development for the residents and visitors of Sunny Isles Beach, the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department (SIBPD) recently achieved a remarkable milestone – accreditation by the Florida Commission for Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA). This accolade, conferred officially on a bright Thursday morning in Fort Myers, Florida, symbolizes the department’s commitment to excellence, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to keeping the community safe. The journey to accreditation was no cakewalk. In August 2023, a team of impartial assessors descended upon SIBPD to scrutinize every facet of its operations, from policies and procedures to day-to-day practices and training protocols.
