gies offer hope, but they come at a steep cost. In the United States, a single cycle of IVF can cost tens of thousands of dollars, and multiple cycles are often needed. For many, these costs are prohibitive. Insurance coverage is inconsistent, and financial assistance is limited. The result is a heartbreaking reality: people who long to become parents are sometimes unable to pursue treatment simply because they cannot afford it. That’s where the Jewish

South Florida Symphony Orchestra’s (SFSO’s) popular Summer with the Symphony chamber music series returns to bring cool sounds to sultry summer nights with six concerts from Thursday, May 14th, 2026 – Friday, July 24th, 2026. Because Every Family Needs A Chance Infertility Affects Millions, Cutting Across Age, Geography, and Background In a world where starting a family is often portrayed as a natural and inevitable step, the reality for many individuals and couples is far more complex. Infertility affects millions, cutting across age, geography, and background. It brings with it not only medical challenges, but emotional and financial burdens that can feel overwhelming. For those navigating this difficult path, support can make all the difference. That belief lies at the heart of the Jewish Fertility Foundation’s upcoming 2026 Crowdfunding Campaign. Taking place on Tuesday, May

12th, 2026 – Wednesday, May 13th, 2026 this annual initiative is more than just a fundraiser—it’s a rallying cry for compassion, community, and action. Its guiding principle is simple yet powerful: because every family deserves a chance. The Reality Behind The Dream Infertility is often a silent struggle. While conversations around reproductive health have become more open in recent years, many still face their journeys in isolation. Mount Calvary Baptist Church Is Celebrating Its 124th Anniversary By John Bernardo

One of Broward County’s oldest institutions will soon celebrate a long-awaited milestone. This May, Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Pompano Beach is celebrating its 124th Anniversary. The theme for this year’s anniversary is ‘Alignment for Advancement.’ “As we celebrate 124 years, we recognize that every season of growth in Mount Calvary’s history came when the church aligned itself with God’s purpose and the needs of the community,” said Pastor Branden A. Jones. Jones, Mount Calvary’s Senior Pastor since 2021, points out: “When a church aligns spiritually, advancement follows – not only within the walls of the church but throughout the entire community.” Unequivocally, God has

blessed Mount Calvary Baptist in that today it’s truly a historical landmark. The church was founded on the fourth Sunday of May 1902, a time when Pompano wasn’t developed but local farmers continued to grow more and more pineapples. Astonishingly, Mount Calvary Baptist was established six years before the City of Pompano Beach incorporated, when worshippers met east of the Florida East Coast Railway at a brush harbor. Reverend Brown was their first pastor and served the church until 1904. A few years later, the house of worship moved across the street to a frame house on Northwest Third Avenue, now named Esther Rolle Avenue. On May 5th, 1957, Mount Calvary members marched to the church’s present site at 800 Northwest Eighth Avenue.
