Camp Sunnyvale’s youngest campers are invited to explore play-based preschool half-day camps this summer! Meet new friends and enjoy a variety of fun, weekly themed activities. Each camper receives one camp T-shirt for the summer at the first session they attend.

An ideal first preschool experience, each parent/guardian and their camper are introduced to songs, art, music, movement, circle time, storytime and indoor/outdoor free play. One parent or caregiver must attend with each registered camper. Unregistered siblings or children may not join the class.

During LIT Fieldwork, teens utilize and practice the skills gained from LIT Training to help staff lead games, art and crafts and singalongs. Based on camp placement, LIT’s also assist with pool day/water play, field trips or special guest performers. Each week, teens earn up to 40 community service hours and attend all field trips with assigned camp. Note: Specific camp placements and location requests cannot be accommodated. For Fieldwork weeks 07/20 – 08/07, priority will be given to teens who are registered in Training Week 07/14 – 07/17.

For swim lessons, notice of cancellation or transfer must be received two business days prior to the start of the class session to be eligible for a refund.
• Camps: Notice must be received 10 business days from the start of the session. In case of cancellation, $15 of every camp session is considered a nonrefundable deposit. In case of transfer, camp deposits are transferable to another camp. Requests are not processed after the deadline.
• Programs may be canceled when the minimum enrollment is not met. Please register early.
• If a program is canceled, participants are notified by phone or email and given the option to transfer to another class or receive a full refund. Note: Refunds, paid by credit card may take one to two weeks to process, while cash/check payments may take up to six to eight weeks to process.
• Most one-day and two-day classes/events/camps: Refunds and transfers are not available.
• Those who don’t meet the minimum requirements of the Lifeguard Training skills test will receive a full refund.

• Refunds/Transfers may be requested by phone or in person at the Recreation Center, Senior Center or Columbia Neighborhood Center front desk. If submitting in person, be prepared to present a receipt. If submitting by phone, be prepared to share info from your receipt. Receipts can be printed online.

• Disputed or reversed credit card charge s for recreation programs or activities may result in:
– Suspension of the household account for six months
– Loss of credit card payment privileges during that period
You have a choice at time of registration to pay in full or pay a nonrefundable deposit of $15 for each camp session. Families that choose the deposit will be automatically charged three weeks before the beginning of each session according to the chart below by credit card that was used at time of registration. All camp registrations require payment in full no later than the final “balance due” date listed below, or registration will be canceled.
• Issues with nonpayment: If the card on file does not pay the remaining fee, Sunnyvale Staff will reach out via email to alert you of the missed payment. Final payment must be made by the due date in the email (one business day no later than 5 p.m.) or the camper’s registration is canceled due to nonpayment.
• When camp registrations have been canceled because of nonpayment, you may re-register on a space available basis and you will be charged the full camp fee.

The City does not offer make-up classes when individual customers miss a class. See medical policy for exception.
Participants picked up after program end time will be charged a late fee. $10 fee is assessed for every 10-minute increment. Failure to pay or multiple offenses may result in the participant’s dismissal from the program without refund.
Sunnyvale residents may apply to cover registration fees for youth (ages 17 and under) with up to $500 per approved child, per annual funding cycle. Recreation Scholarship funds are limited and subject to availability. Any funds not used are forfeited and cannot be carried over to the next funding cycle, nor used for another child.

All camps require an emergency card on file to participate. The City of Sunnyvale has partnered with the ePACT Network to offer an easy-to-use, safe and secure system for families.
Because the City is transitioning to new registration software, your ePACT email invitation may not be sent immediately upon registration like past years.
In late April 2026, you will receive an email from member.support@epactnetwork.com to complete the emergency card online. This must be completed no later by 9 a.m. on the Friday before your first camp week.
Review the start and end times for the camp your child is registered for. We ask that campers arrive and are picked up as close to those times as possible. If you need to pick up your camper early, notify the staff at sign-in. Be sure to bring a photo I.D. as staff will only sign out participants to persons listed on the ePACT as a parent/guardian or emergency contact.

For children 12 to 17 years old attending camp, parent/guardians may select the independent dismissal option when completing your child’s ePACT. Participants who have a ‘yes’ marked on their form may sign themselves out and will only be released by staff at the end of the program.
City staff are not allowed to accept gifts of any kind. City staff ARE allowed to accept a card with kind words.
Participants should be able to undress and use the restroom on their own. If the child is not potty trained and has repeated accidents, the City of Sunnyvale staff reserves the right to move or drop the participant from the program.
• All new accounts default to the nonresident rate until residency is verified.
• Residents are anyone with a Sunnyvale home mailing address (P.O. Boxes or business addresses do not count).
• To be charged the resident rate, bring two forms of ID —a photo ID and the most recent utility bill or lease showing your Sunnyvale address—to the Recreation Center.
• Residents must provide proof before the class/camp ends to receive a refund for the difference in fees.
