Dining out in pink!
There were pink ribbons, hats, shirts, skirts, scarves, jumpers, cardigans and even a bright pink sparkly bow hair accessory! Katikati’s Ruth Watson, pictured, was
one of more than 40 people who turned up to dine at a pink breakfast hosted by the Katikati Community Centre last Friday, May 30, to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Foundation
of New Zealand. Between 8am-10am people popped in for a yummy breakfast – cooked by the community centre staff – of pancakes or croissants with all the trimmings for
$10 each. The event also offered an oldfashioned bake sale, four raffles and a donation station to raise as much funds as possible. See more of the event on page 4. Photo / Merle Cave
