Bake sale raising funds Every year Tauranga City Elim sends a missions team to Lautoka Fiji. The team spends time doing practical projects such as painting and renovations and also house-to-house visits – encouraging people, giving out reading glasses and praying for the sick. This is always a highlight of the church year as team members come back sharing stories of the impact they have made and the lives that have been changed. The exposure to poverty and seeing God move in another nation is often a defining moment in a team member’s life. We are sending a team again in the April school holidays and have five teenagers attending. To help raise funds for this we are holding a bake
sale and carwash at Tauranga City Elim Church on Saturday, April 6 from 9am. You will find us behind McDonalds on 11th Avenue. We would love you to come along and be a part of this day and contribute to a worthy cause.
In the Book of Life? The Bible teaches a day is coming, when a holy and righteous God will judge the world and all in it. We read in Revelation 20:11-15: “Then I saw a great white throne and Him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. The only way for our names to be written in the Book of Life and the only way to escape the just judgment to come is through salvation in Christ.
