FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Suncadia Celebrates 20 Years of Fall Tradition with Expanded Harvest Festival This October CLE ELUM, Wash. | [DATE] Suncadia will celebrate the 20th Annual Harvest Festival this October, honoring two decades of fall traditions at historic Nelson Farm and introducing new festivities at Suncadia Social. First held in 2006, Harvest Festival has grown from a small community gathering into one of the resort’s most beloved annual traditions. Supported by The Suncadia Fund for Community Enhancement (SCFE), the festival remains rooted in a simple idea: bringing people together to experience the colors, flavors, and traditions of fall in the Cascade Mountains. 2026 Festival Dates & Locations The 20th anniversary celebration will take place over two weekends: October 2–4 and October 9–11, 2026 Fridays 4:00–6:00 p.m. at Suncadia Social Saturdays & Sundays 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. at Historic Nelson Farm Website: SuncadiaHarvestFestival.com Admission is free. A Milestone Year “For 20 years, Harvest Festival has created a place for families, neighbors, and visitors to celebrate the season together,” said Karen Porter, Chief Marketing Officer at Suncadia and SFCE Board Member. “This anniversary is a chance to honor the traditions and memories that have made the festival so special, while welcoming a new generation of guests, and a new venue, to experience it. Festival Highlights Guests can expect returning favorites and new surprises, including: Pumpkin patch Giant hay pyramid and maze Wagon rides Duck races
Live music and children’s entertainment Seasonal crafts Square and line dancing Apple cider pressing demonstrations Harvest Hustle 5K and Pumpkin Prance Teanaway Country Store pop-up Mercantile Market featuring local vendors, makers, and farmers
A Culinary Celebration To mark the 20th anniversary, the culinary team at Suncadia is expanding its popular fall offerings. Fan favorites, including the famous Philly Cheesesteak and Walla Walla Onion Burger from the Suncadia Street Eats and Wandering Whisk food trucks, will return alongside new seasonal bites crafted exclusively for the milestone year. A Historic Setting The festival’s home, Nelson Farm, carries more than a century of history. Originally homesteaded in the late 1890s as Montague Dairy and later known as Nelson Dairy, the farm once supported up to 120 cows before operations ceased in the 1940s. Today, its preserved farmhouse, barn, outbuildings, and log cabin remain central to the property’s charm. Nelson Farm now serves as a year-round gathering place where Suncadia’s community and agricultural heritage meet, hosting recreation, concerts, and seasonal experiences, Harvest Festival being its signature annual celebration. Growing Regional Impact Harvest Festival continues to expand in scale and reach. The 2024 event welcomed approximately 10,200 attendees over two weekends, while the 2025 festival drew more than 17,500 guests, the highest attendance in its history. The event also supports local nonprofits, schools, artisans, farmers, food vendors, and businesses throughout Kittitas County.
