Growing Stronger: Sullivan BOCES Opens New Classrooms to Welcome 57 New Students This Fall! Sullivan BOCES welcomed 57 newly referred students to the Rubin Pollack Education Center campus in September. The enrollment breakdown includes 33 - K-6 special education elementary students 13 - 7-12 secondary special education students 11 - 7-12 Alt Ed students ( Three of which are part of the new middle school Alt Ed program) To accommodate these new students, BOCES opened three new elementary classrooms along with a new alternative ed middle school classroom.

BOCES Launches RESTART, Suicide Prevention, and Anti-Vaping Programs for Sullivan County Schools BOCES plans to launch the RESTART program for students with substance abuse issues in late fall 2024. Catholic Charities will provide substance abuse treatment services, while BOCES will offer academic tutoring.

In partnership with NYSED, the NYS Office of Mental Health, and Sullivan 180, BOCES has secured a $50,000 grant to bring the Hope Squads Suicide Prevention program to Sullivan County schools. For more information, visit https://hopesquad.com/. BOCES is also pleased to announce that they will receive $150,488.46 from the NYS Attorney General’s Juul settlement. These funds will be used to provide anti-vaping programs in Sullivan County schools.
