DHSUD-Davao meets with NBI on illegal real estate practices by Mindanao Daily News Network

AVAO CITY - The Human Settlements and Urban Development Region XI (DHSUD-Davao) recently met with the National Bureau of Investigation in Region XI (NBI-XI) and discussed very important matters about illegal real estate practices. Regional Director Atty. Roberto Mauro Miguel T. Palma Gil of DHSUD-Davao said in a statement that together with the NBI, they are exploring strategies addressing the prevalent selling of illegally subdivided lots or what is also known as "raw lots." Aside from raw lots, Palma Gil said, they also discussed about the operations of flyby-night real estate developers and sellers in Davao Region, in pursuant to the creation of the “Anti-Illegal Real Estate Practices InterAgency Task Force” (JMC No. 01, S. 2021). The aim of the discussion was to see how both agencies of the government can better assist the complainants in going against illegal sellers and fraudulent agencies. It was on August 31, 2020 that a celebration was held for the 24th Episcopal Ordination Anniversary of Archbishop Antonio J. Ledesma, SJ DD - first with a Holy Mass, with a gathering of friends, and followed by a dinner and a short program. Today, we are happy to celebrate with him his 80th birthday. Let me repeat this tribute to our dear Archbishop Tony. Unassuming, Profound Leadership Many of us do evaluate and have impressions of leaders, their personalities, and how they impact on people and communities. We relate them to some concepts about Leadership Effectiveness. Let me mention five (5). 1st -- Some great leaders are made of unusual stuff that makes them most effective. Some are born a leader, so they say. Others say, leaders are made, not born. In Archbishop Tony, I have no reservation and no hesitation to say that Divine Hands and Providence have made, molded and chose him to be the

Ledesma, SJ, DD kind of a leader he is, in the situations, contexts and places he has served. 2nd -- Effective leaders get things done, yes, they get GOOD things done, for the benefit of others. They sow the GOOD seeds, the seeds grow and produce GOOD fruits. Their actions produce GOOD results.
