AGAYAN DE ORO CIT Y – Former president Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go were declared adopted sons of this city, following their formal proclamation Thursday at Limketkai Luxe Hotel in this city. The local government of Cagayan de Oro thanked Duterte’s contribution in the fast development of the city during his incumbency as president of the country. The local government particularly cited Duterte’s flagship project dubbed as “Build, Build, Build” and his no-nonsense illegal drug campaigns nationwide. Meanwhile, the resolution also cited the successful nationwide project of Senator Go, particularly his establishment of various “Malasakit Centers” inside hospitals all over the See DUTERTE, page 9

Teves said there were serious threats on his life that prompted him not to go home. He said he feared for this life and he cannot allow himself to gamble his life into going home to his province in Negros Oriental The congressman of the third district of Negros Oriental was allegedly linked by two of the arrested suspects as the person who allegedly ordered the hit on Governor Roel Degamo on what is now known as the 'Pamplona massacre' on March 4, this year, which killed nine persons including the governor of the province. Teves appealed to the president to allow himself to air his side by calling the president and telling him the real scenario of the recent tension in the province.
