CAGAYAN de Oro City—The energy department will provide the needed technical assistance to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) provided these enterprises are willing to use solar energy, an official said Saturday. GSP-Misamis Oriental to hold 24th Councilwide Encampment THE Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP)-Misamis Oriental Council will hold its four-day Councilwide Encampment on October 25-28, 2016 at Medina Central School in the town of Medina in Misamis Oriental. With the theme: “Girls in Nature, Ready for Adventure,” GSP has given emphasis on youth empowerment and nature engagement with activities such as Fresh Water Jumps at Alibuag Cold Spring, Ocean Adventure at Duka Bay Resort, and will be concluded with a Color Run within the scenic town of Medina.

Contingents from the five divisions of the Misamis Oriental Council are expected to participate—Camiguin Province, Misamis Oriental, Gingoog City, El Salvador City, and Cagayan de Oro City. Medina town Mayor Donato N. Chan warmly welcomes the Girl Scouts to Medina and actively shows his support to GSP’s mission by hosting the encampment and providing logistic support that will give quality experience to the delegates. This encampment—along with other GSP – Misamis Oriental

events—is under the leadership of Council President Agnes O. Adviento, CPA. Ms. Adviento who spent most of her childhood as a Girl Scout gives credit to the different Girl Scouts activities to her formation as an empowered woman, and leader that she is today. This kind of impact is what she and the Council’s Board of Trustees envision for the contingents of the 24th Councilwide Encampment.
