DAVAO CITY – The arraignment and pre-trial of Dr. Marvin Rey Andrew R. Pepino, who is accused of homicide for the killing 19-year-old Amierkhan Mangacop at a bar in Davao City last July 2, has been reset for one month from September 22 to October 21. This after the accused, through his counsel Atty. Marcos Chua, Jr., filed a motion for dismissal before the sala of Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC)

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY: Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy donated eight big bikes costing more than P3.2 million to the local police force here to beef up the city’s drive against criminality here. The big bikes were among the items turned over to the Cagayan de Oro City Police (COCPO) Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022 when the city government donated 10 brand new Fortuner patrol cars to the local police here. During his short remarks, Uy said that his family, together with former Vice Mayor Rainier “Kikang” Uy, donated the big bikes expecting the local police to work hard to protect the local residents and maintain peace and order in the city. “Everyone of us here knew that my family was a victim of crime when my son, the late Barangay Carmen Kagawad Sherwin “Tawi” Uy, was gunned down last year,” Uy told the crowd the police in the See DONATES, page 11
P100-M needed to fund farm-to-market roads in Cag. de Oro’s rural barangays REPRESENTATIVE Rufus Rodriguez of Cagayan de Oro City asked the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) to allocate at least P100 million for the construction of farm-to-market roads (FMRs) in the second legislative district of CdeO. The proposal is aimed at supporting the 557 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARB) across the different barangays in the said district to easily transport their products to the market and consumers. Prior to the scheduled hearing in Congress for
the 2023 budget of DAR, Rodriguez submitted a letter to Sec. Estralla requesting for funding on proposed FMRs which was endorsed by DAR-10 Regional Director Zoraida Macadindang: 1. FMR in Brgy.
