CAGAYAN de Oro City--Another strong earthquake shook this capital city about 9:05 Thursday morning, sending people and workers scampering to safer grounds. Workers of a call center in a downtown shopping mall hurried down to safety, fearing a repeat of the tremor Tuesday where five co-workers collapsed when the strong tremor lasted almost 3-minutes here. Building officials also ordered the temporary closure of the Business Processing Office (BPO) after officials noticed cracks on the walls and the falling of debris tiles. “It was scary to think that the Tuesday earthquake almost sent people
in Cagayan De Oro City to panic,” a frightened shopper said. Although the sound of sirens could be heard around the city, no major damaged and no casualties were reported in the Thursday quake. Building officials said that the city government has already inspected 34 buildings in the city, some of them, were ordered temporarily closed due to cracks found during the inspection.
