Dear Readers,
May has officially arrived, and with it, that irresistible Florida glow we like to call early summer perfection. The sun lingers a little longer, the skies shine a little brighter, and suddenly Tampa transforms into a playground where every day feels like a mini vacation.
Living in one of the world’s top destinations has its perks, and this is the moment to enjoy them. Before the summer crowds roll in at full speed, May and June offer a sweet spot: shorter lines, cooler vibes (well… Florida-cool), and endless opportunities to explore everything from our iconic beaches to world-class shopping and dining. Consider this your invitation to play tourist in your own backyard.
But beyond the excitement, this season is also about connection. After celebrating Easter and Passover, we carry that spirit of togetherness forward, whether it’s a spontaneous beach day, a weekend escape, or simply sharing laughter over dinner with those who matter most.
“Love is all, it gives all, and it takes all.”
– Søren Kierkegaard
In this issue, we lean into that sentiment. You’ll find fresh inspiration for style, thoughtful ideas for memorable moments, and a curated look at trends that bring both elegance and joy into your everyday life. Think vibrant colors, amazing accessories, effortless looks, and just the right touch of summer flair.
And while the world beyond our shores may feel uncertain at times, we hold onto hope that this season brings a renewed sense of peace, light, and forward momentum for all.
As always, this magazine exists because of you, our readers, partners, and community. Your continued support and enthusiasm are what made Style Magazines thrive month after month. We love hearing your thoughts, so don’t be shy, reach out, connect with us, and join us at our upcoming events.
Here’s to sunshine, style, and a season worth savoring.

Warmest regards,
Sven J. Bode Founder & CEO, Style Magazines

"Your
home should be designed around your lifestyle. Your taste is unique and personal, which is why it will never seem out of style."
Everyone deserves to be in love with their home. And sometimes, homes need a little love too. Experienced designers can help create spaces that will delight you and your family. One of the most accessible is Calico, with 50+ design shops across the country. Their Tampa store just moved to a new location at 2124 South Dale Mabry Highway.
In business since 1948, Calico has streamlined the design process to be convenient and collaborative. They are a one-stop shop for custom decorating, from window treatments to upholstery, bedding and more, plus free design advice every step of the way.
“Your home should be designed around your lifestyle,” shares one of the designers at Calico. “Your taste is unique and personal, which is why it will never seem out of style.”
Design has the power to elevate your life and make your family proud. Dated décor, faded fabrics and worn furniture are constant visual reminders of a home that needs more love and attention. A well-designed room is uplifting to enter.
Over the past decade the prevalence of gray and beige shades in residential interiors now accounts for about half the color in our homes.
If your rooms feel color deprived, look for vibrant hues to rev up the décor and add visual punch to a neutral interior. Calico’s gallery offers more than 5,000 luxurious fabrics to choose from in every style. Their friendly designers will help you create a great
room—and Calico even allows customers to take fabrics home with their Approval Plan. Fabric, trim and wallpaper swatches are also available.
Open and bright, the new Tampa design shop has a vast range of vibrant fabrics and trims, the latest hardware and custom window treatment styles—including blinds and shades from Hunter Douglas, as well as upholstered furniture, pillows, bedding and wallpaper.
Displays showcase eye-catching looks for your home, while iPads are set up throughout with even more options.
Calico offers free design services, whether in the store or in your home. The store is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Weekend appointments are also available. Be inspired and learn more at calicocorners.com.

After an eight-year absence, one of Tampa Bay’s most beloved dining institutions is making a triumphant return. Ceviche Tapas Bar & Restaurant, the original trailblazer that introduced authentic Spanish tapas culture to the region back in 1997, will reopen in Summer 2026 at International Plaza and Bay Street.
The new location, set to debut in July 2026, will occupy 2223 N. Westshore Blvd. Operated by Caldeon Concepts (the team also behind Rococo Steak in St. Petersburg), this comeback promises to blend nostalgia with a sleek, contemporary upgrade while staying true to the vibrant spirit that made Ceviche a Tampa Bay staple for decades.
Guests can look forward to the restaurant’s signature shareable tapas, including classics like patatas bravas, hand-carved jamón ibérico, and fragrant paellas. Executive Chef Horasio Salgado will continue importing premium ingredients directly from Spain and incorporating cherished family recipes. The extensive wine list, long celebrated for its Spanish and international selections, will remain a centerpiece, perfectly paired with creative sangrias and cocktails.
What sets the new Ceviche apart is its elevated modern design. Local architect
Brian Wolfe is reimagining the space as a sophisticated two-story destination featuring a large open bar, refined interiors, and inviting indoor-outdoor patio seating. The refreshed concept leans into a more contemporary aesthetic while preserving the lively, social energy that defines Spanish tapas dining — think lingering over small plates, lively conversation, and that unmistakable Barcelona-inspired joie de vivre.
Located in the heart of International Plaza’s Bay Street dining and shopping district, the new spot offers unmatched convenience and foot traffic. With over 170 upscale shops and restaurants nearby, it’s poised to become a go-to destination for date nights, girls’ nights out, business lunches, and pre-shopping indulgences. International Plaza’s Marketing & Sponsorship Director Julia Wyman noted, “Ceviche’s celebrated Spanish flavors and vibrant atmosphere will be a great addition to the variety of dining experiences offered by our Bay Street restaurants.”
For longtime Tampa diners, this return feels like a homecoming. After closing its original South Tampa location in 2018 and thriving in its current St. Petersburg home on Beach Drive, Ceviche is once again bringing its authentic Iberian charm to the west side of the bay.
As construction progresses and the summer 2026 opening approaches, anticipation is building across Tampa Bay. Whether you’re craving classic Spanish comfort or eager to discover updated plates in a stylish new setting, Ceviche’s comeback is set to deliver an unforgettable experience.
Mark your calendars — Tampa’s tapas scene is about to get a whole lot more delicious.

ANIMAL SYMBOLICUM: THE ART OF MEANING
On View Now at Museum of Fine Arts St. Petersburg
Animal Symbolicum explores what defines humanity, drawing on philosopher Ernst Cassirer, who argued that humans are distinguished not by reason alone but by our ability to create symbols. This exhibition gathers artworks from around the world to examine how animals represent complex ideas across cultures. While some meanings feel universal, others are deeply rooted in specific traditions. Together, these symbolic associations reveal shared human experiences and offer insight into how meaning is constructed through art, myth, and language today globally.

Now - May 17, 2026
Abstraction is a vital yet often misunderstood approach to art that emerged in the early twentieth century, reshaping how artists create and how audiences interpret the world around them. By moving away from literal representation, it challenged traditional expectations and opened new possibilities for visual expression beyond reality today overall.
Rather than being created by a single artist, abstraction evolved through shared ideas across cultures, with roots that extend far before modern Western movements. Engaging with abstract art invites viewers to focus on color, shape, and emotion, allowing meaning to emerge gradually through reflection, curiosity, and openness to unfamiliar perspectives.
May 16, 2026 - August 30, 2026 at Museum of Fine Arts St. Petersburg
From 1990 to 1998, multidisciplinary artist Babs Reingold explored women’s bodybuilding as a source of empowerment, challenging traditional ideals of femininity rooted in softness and passivity. Through her After Venus series, she combines historical imagery, appropriated art, and ancient fertility symbols with contemporary representations of muscular female bodies to examine the gendered meaning of strength. The exhibition spans drawings, paintings, and mixed-media works, many rarely shown, and reclaims the body as a site of power. Referencing prehistoric Venus figurines, it connects past and present ideas of beauty while confronting modern control over bodies with unapologetic, woman-centered resilience.

"As spring fades and summer begins to unfold, consider this your invitation to slow down, nourish deeply, and step into the season feeling restored, radiant, and fully in bloom."
By Maha Chaudhry
As the seasons shift here in Florida, so do the needs of our skin, body, and energy. As spring’s soft breeze gives way to summer’s warmth, this transition invites us to recalibrate.
With longer days and rising temperatures, hydration, nourishment, and simplicity become essential. The good news? Some of the best beauty and wellness remedies can be created right at home, using natural ingredients that support both inner balance and outer glow.
Here are a few holistic rituals to help you transition seamlessly from bloom to glow.
A warm herbal infusion can do more than hydrate—it can support digestion, reduce bloating, and help the body feel lighter as temperatures rise.
Steep fresh mint leaves, sliced ginger, and dandelion tea in hot water for 5 to 10 minutes. Finish with a squeeze of lemon. This simple blend supports liver function, soothes the digestive system, and offers a refreshing, grounding ritual to start or end your day.
Mix one tablespoon of raw honey (manuka is my choice) with a pinch of turmeric and a spoonful of plain yogurt. Apply for 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing. This combination hydrates, soothes inflammation, and gently exfoliates, revealing brighter, smoother skin.
Turmeric alone has been an ancient beauty staple in South Asia, and is one of the main pre-wedding beauty remedies.
With more time spent outdoors, skin can become sensitized by sun and heat. Cooling ingredients help restore balance. Blend fresh cucumber with aloe vera gel and apply as a mask or light daily layer.
This simple remedy refreshes the skin and is especially effective after sun exposure. Aloe vera also has antibacterial properties that beneficial for wound healing and dental care (another plus).
An evening reset can be as simple as slowing down. Add Epsom salt and a few drops of lavender oil to a warm bath. Soak for 20 minutes to relax the body and calm the nervous system. This is especially soothing on days you feel additionally stressed, as its great for reducing cortisol levels.
Transitioning seasons is the perfect time to gently exfoliate and reveal fresh, renewed skin.
Combine mashed strawberry, sugar, and a touch of coconut oil. Gently massage onto lips or skin, then rinse. This blend is great at removing dry skin while simultaneously nourishing an early-summer glow.
Radiance always begins from within. A small daily wellness shot can support immunity and energy levels as you move into a more active season.
Blend fresh ginger, turmeric, lemon juice, and honey. I prefer taking this wellness shot first in the morning. This combo is another rich anti-inflammatory and immune-supporting mix, helping you feel vibrant inside-out.
As spring fades and summer begins to unfold, consider this your invitation to slow down, nourish deeply, and step into the season feeling restored, radiant, and fully in bloom.
Note: all skin types are different and some may be more prone to sensitivity. Please consult an expert or dermatologist for specific skin concerns or conditions.

The collection leans into a quiet recalibration of menswear, where sport and structure no longer sit in opposition but merge into something distinctly modern. There is no urgency here, no excess. Instead, a steady confidence: clothes designed for movement through everyday life, not performance alone.
What defines the collection is its balance. Gray cashmere softens the rigidity of businesswear, while precise tailoring is offset by relaxed silhouettes—polos tucked into easy trousers, shirting that suggests discipline without stiffness. Pops of red and blue cut through a largely neutral palette, with white acting as a point of clarity. The effect is controlled but not cold, a wardrobe that feels considered yet instinctive, built for repetition and ease.
Accessories anchor this vision. Glasses sharpen the look into something intellectual, while sporty watches and white tennis shoes ground it back in utility. Over-the-shoulder bags and structured totes replace traditional briefcases, signaling a shift in how menswear carries itself—less about formality, more about function that adapts. Even light overcoats feel transitional, meant for layering without weight.
For a Florida summer, this translates seamlessly. Breathable knits, lightweight trousers, and softened tailoring become essential, not optional. The tucked-in polo emerges as a uniform—clean, unfussy, and endlessly adaptable. Footwear stays minimal, bright, and practical. This is not resort wear, but something more grounded: a wardrobe that acknowledges heat without surrendering polish.
There is also an underlying ease in how these pieces are worn—nothing feels overstyled or overly deliberate. Shirts sit naturally, bags are slung without precision, and proportions feel lived-in rather than constructed. It’s a reminder that modern menswear is shifting away from rigidity toward something more fluid, where personal rhythm matters more than strict rules or seasonal dictates.
If past seasons emphasized statement, this moment signals restraint. The Fila man is not dressing to be seen, but to exist comfortably within his environment—cool, composed, and subtly precise. Summer becomes less about dressing down, and more about refining what remains.

In the quest for luminous, sculpted skin, beauty enthusiasts are turning to an ancient practice with modern appeal: gua sha. Rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, this gentle scraping technique uses a smooth-edged stone tool—often jade, rose quartz, or bian stone—to massage the face and neck. Far from a fleeting TikTok trend, gua sha delivers tangible beauty benefits that align perfectly with 2026’s emphasis on holistic, at-home rituals that enhance natural radiance.
At its core, facial gua sha works by stimulating blood circulation and promoting lymphatic drainage. The gentle upward and outward strokes encourage microcirculation in the skin’s smallest vessels, delivering oxygen and nutrients to cells while helping flush out excess fluid and toxins. The result? A noticeable reduction in morning puffiness, especially around the eyes and jawline, for a more contoured, lifted appearance.
Recent research supports these effects. An 8-week study comparing gua sha to facial rollers found both tools improved facial contours, with gua sha showing significant reductions in muscle tone parameters—helping relax tight facial muscles that contribute to tension lines. Participants experienced measurable decreases in surface distances along the jaw and cheeks, creating a subtly sculpted look without invasive procedures.
Beyond depuffing, gua sha offers a natural glow boost. Enhanced blood flow brings a healthy flush to the complexion, while the massage may support collagen and elastin production over time, softening the appearance of fine lines and improving skin elasticity. Many users report brighter, more even tone and reduced inflammation, making it particularly appealing for those dealing
with Florida’s humid climate, sun exposure, and seasonal skin sensitivities.
The ritual itself doubles as a moment of mindfulness. “Gua sha can improve circulation in your skin, giving you a more radiant glow,” notes experts, while also easing muscle tension built from stress or screen time—common in our fast-paced Tampa Bay lifestyle.
How to Incorporate Gua Sha into Your Routine
For best results, always start with clean skin and a generous layer of facial oil or serum to ensure the tool glides smoothly—never use it on dry skin, as friction can cause irritation. Hold the gua sha at a 15- to 45-degree angle and apply light to medium pressure, working in slow, upward strokes.
A simple at-home sequence:
• Begin at the neck: Stroke upward from collarbone to jawline (3–5 times per side) to encourage lymphatic flow.
•Move to the jaw: Glide from chin along the jawline toward the ear.
• Cheeks and cheekbones: Sweep outward from the nose to the hairline.
• Under eyes and brow: Use the smaller edge with extra gentleness, moving from inner to outer corners.
• Finish with forehead strokes upward to the hairline.
Sessions typically last 5–10 minutes. Perform 3–5 times weekly for cumulative benefits. Clean your tool after each use with mild soap or by sanitizing as recommended.
Safety first: Gua sha should feel relaxing, not painful. Avoid active acne, sunburn, broken skin, or recent injectables. Those with sensitive skin or conditions like rosacea should consult a dermatologist or licensed esthetician first. In Tampa, many med-spas and wellness studios offer professional gua sha facials, providing an elevated introduction with expert technique.
While results vary, consistent practice often yields dewier skin, reduced puffiness, and a more sculpted profile—without downtime or high costs. As we embrace slower, intentional beauty routines this summer, gua sha stands out as an accessible way to nurture both outer glow and inner calm.
Whether you’re prepping for a day on the bay or simply seeking that post-facial radiance at home, this timeless tool might be the missing piece in your skincare arsenal. Start slow, stay consistent, and watch your skin bloom.
Always patch-test new products and consult a skincare professional for personalized advice.

SPRING STYLE AHEAD: VERONICA BEARD FALL 2026 TAILORED LOOKS

CAT-EYE GG INJECTED SUNGLASSES
$305 / neimanmarcus.com
Make a statement this season with the Gucci Cat-Eye GG Injected Sunglasses, the perfect finishing touch for spring styling. Their bold cat-eye silhouette brings instant polish and a hint of vintage glamour to any outfit. Pair them with a flowy floral dress and strappy sandals for brunch, or elevate relaxed denim and a lightweight knit for daytime errands. The structured shape balances soft spring textures beautifully, adding confidence and sophistication whether you’re headed to a patio lunch, weekend market, or sunny getaway.
Veronica Beard’s Fall 2026 collection channels effortless power dressing with a modern twist, blending tailored silhouettes, rich textures, and muted yet sophisticated tones. Strong shoulders, nipped waists, and statement outerwear dominate the runway, offering a nod to menswear while remaining distinctly feminine. The collection feels curated for women who want clothing that works on exceptional days and elevates everyday moments. Layered textures and thoughtful detailing make each look feel intentional, polished, and ready to translate into wearable spring styling for transitional Florida weather.
Proportion and fit are central to the collection’s appeal. Jackets and coats are sculpted with exaggerated shoulders, cinched waists, and cabochon buttons, creating balance between structure and softness. For spring, these principles can be adapted with lightweight blazers, cropped trench coats, or belted shirtdresses that echo Veronica Beard’s tailored sensibility. Pairing fitted tops with slightly relaxed bottoms, like wide-leg trousers or midi skirts, allows for movement while maintaining a clean, polished silhouette suitable for warmer climates.
Texture and layering are also key takeaways. Veronica Beard combines tactile fabrics, subtle sheens, and classic wool blends to create depth, which can be reinterpreted for Florida’s season by using linen, silk, or cotton blends. Layered looks—like a soft vest over a fitted tee or a lightweight jacket atop a breezy dress—capture the collection’s spirit without overheating. Accessories, from statement belts to minimal jewelry, complete the effect, letting you play with proportion and elevate simple staples into an editorial-inspired wardrobe.
Finally, the collection emphasizes a sense of empowerment and versatility. It’s designed for women who want clothes that perform across occasions—boardroom meetings, casual lunches, or celebratory evenings. For spring, pastel or neutral tones, clean lines, and subtle accents allow for flexible styling that stays seasonally appropriate. Borrowing Veronica Beard’s narrative-driven approach, you can mix tailored pieces with sporty or casual elements, creating a wardrobe that is confident, polished, and distinctly expressive for the season ahead.

There are some places where you notice the design right away, and then there are places where you feel it first. Tampa EDITION is definitely the latter.
From the moment you walk in, everything just feels intentional. The greenery, the lighting, the way the spaces open up all come together in a way that feels sophisticated but still really inviting. It all comes together in a way that feels effortless.
It also has this interesting balance. At times it feels very Tampa. Clean, elevated, and calm. Then there are moments where it gives you that Miami rooftop energy. A little more social, a little more vibrant. It felt like a reflection of a more modern Tampa.
My stay moved at a pace that felt wellbalanced, with each setting offering something different without ever seeming disconnected.
I started my first evening at Azure, the hotel’s rooftop restaurant led by Chef John Fraser. The menu draws from his Greek heritage, focusing on coastal, Mediterranean flavors that come across as light and fresh. The setting itself is both indoors and outdoors, with an airy, relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in.
I would recommend the branzino and the Mediterranean sampler, which included fresh hummus, sautéed eggplant, flavorful grape leaves, and more. It was the kind of meal you can take your time with,
especially as the sun starts to set and the overall ambiance softens around you.
From there, I made my way to Punch Room, which felt like stepping into a completely different mood. It has more of a luxurious speakeasy vibe, with a cobalt blue aesthetic layered against rich wood tones. The cocktail menu centers around punch, with drinks inspired by different regions and offered as either cocktails or mocktails.
It feel is sophistication in an intimate setting. The kind of place where you slow down and truly enjoy the experience of being there.
The next morning, brunch at Market at EDITION felt like a reset. Inspired by the Italian coastline, the ground-level setting is open, modern, and welcoming. It has a family-friendly energy, with the option to sit indoors or outside, which adds to that easygoing atmosphere.
Everything came out generous and satisfying, yet still elevated. The Manzo e Patata stood out right away. The steak was cooked precisely, and paired with the potatoes, salsa verde, and scrambled eggs - it just worked.
I also had the fusilli with spicy vodka sauce and stracciatella, which was rich without being too heavy. The crispy artichokes with lemon aioli to start were light, crisp, and hard to resist.
That night, dinner at Lilac became the highlight of the stay. As a Michelin-starred restaurant led by Chef John Fraser, it reflects his European training and

“Each space carries its own energy, but together, they create a rhythm that feels effortless.”
Mediterranean influences through a more refined, ingredient-driven approach.
I chose the seasonal tasting menu, and a few dishes really stood out. The white asparagus velouté and the scallop carpaccio were both memorable, each one delicate yet full of flavor. Even the dessert felt thoughtfully executed. The chocolate walnut crémeux ended up being my favorite.
The dining room itself is elegantly intimate yet open, which makes the entire experience elevated while still remaining comfortable.
To end the night, I went to Arts Club, where the energy shifts again. The concept blends craft cocktails with Asian-inspired shareable dishes, all set within a multi-room layout that feels immersive.
Each room has its own character, but the one we spent the most time in leaned darker, with leather textures and a more intimate atmosphere. Overall, the venue had a slightly retro vibe, layered with different design elements that made it feel dynamic. It was the kind of place you would go with a group of friends on the weekend, where the night naturally continues.
The spa was one of the most memorable parts of my stay. It feels removed from the rest of the hotel, offering a more holistic approach that blends global techniques with modern skincare.
I booked a signature facial using Yon-Ka Paris products, and it was exactly what I needed. It leaned more into relaxation than intensity, making it easy to fully disconnect.
What stayed with me most was what came after. The lounge felt personally curated, like a quiet extension of the treatment. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, which made the experience feel even more thoughtful.
There was a selection of teas and healthy treats, along with lounging beds featuring sheer curtains you could open or close for added privacy.
It wasn’t just relaxing. It felt like a true pause, and the ideal way to end my stay at the hotel.
What stood out most to me was how everything connects.
The greenery throughout the property gives it this soft, almost garden-like atmosphere, which balances out the more polished design. You move from one setting to another, from calm to social, from quiet to vibrant, and it never feels like a transition you have to adjust to because it just flows. There is always something happening. The hotel hosts a range of events throughout the month, from wellness experiences to seasonal gatherings, offering a balance between more intimate moments and more social settings.
It also works for different reasons depending on why you are there. For locals, it is an easy weekend escape without ever having to leave the city. For travelers, it offers a way to experience Tampa in a setting that captures where the city is right now. Polished, evolving, and still very much inviting.
By the time I left, it was not any one moment that stood out more than the others. It was how it all came together. The atmosphere. The pace.

In this exclusive Q&A, luxury travel advisor Katie Bean reveals how her signature Discovery process transforms summer travel into deeply personalized escapes defined by access, intention, and seamless execution.
Jonathan: Summer is peak season for luxury travel—how do you use your Discovery process to help clients design a truly worry-free summer sabbatical that balances relaxation, adventure, and exclusivity while sidestepping crowds and logistics?
Katie: It always begins with a deep dive into the client. Not just where they want to go, but what their best travel memories actually felt like. Families rarely talk about the itinerary, they remember the moments, a long, unhurried lunch overlooking the sea, children taking their first cooking class with a local chef, completely immersed in the moment, or the ease of not having to think through a single detail.
From there, we design the rhythm of the trip. For some, that means a private villa in Provence, slow mornings, coffee in the garden, while a chef prepares breakfast, and no set plan until later in the day. For others, it might be early access into the Vatican before it opens and the crowds arrive, followed by a late lunch and a quiet afternoon back at the hotel. Most of our clients want one meaningful, well timed experience each day, with space around it to actually enjoy where they are.
Summer crowds are inevitable, so we focus on how our clients move through them. In Florence, that means starting early with a guide who knows exactly when to enter and when to step away, then returning to Four Seasons Firenze or Collegio alla Querce,
By Jonathan Friese
where the setting creates a true sense of retreat. We layer in experiences that feel more private, a winery not open to the public, or access at times when others are not there.
Logistics are where a trip is either elevated or completely unraveled, and this is where most people don’t realize what is actually possible.
Our clients are met at the aircraft, not at baggage claim. They are guided through security and passport control, then walked directly to their driver already in position. Luggage is handled, timing is managed, and there is no moment of waiting or figuring out what comes next.
That same level of intention carries throughout the entire trip. Each time you step outside, whether leaving your hotel or finishing an experience, your driver is already there. No friction, no checking your phone, no wondering where to go.
Guides are matched to your personality, not just how much they know, but how you like to interact, whether you enjoy engaging and asking questions, or prefer someone more discreet who anticipates your needs without saying much. Dining reservations are made with context, not just your name, so when you arrive, you are not being fit in, you are expected.
This is what our Discovery process is built around, understanding how our clients want to experience a trip, and designing every detail to support that.
Jonathan: What are the most exciting luxury destinations or experiences you’re curating for summer 2026 right now, and what hidden gems or signature touches make them feel truly one-of-a-kind for your clients?
Katie: Summer 2026 is shaping up to be incredibly rich in both depth and variety. What we are seeing is not necessarily a shift in where people are going, but in how they are experiencing those destinations, with a stronger focus on privacy, intention, and access.
Across Europe, we continue to book the classics, but with very specific positioning. Instead of the most obvious towns and islands, we guide clients toward places that feel more authentic while still delivering five star service. That might mean choosing Paros or the Peloponnese over Santorini, or heading into Portugal’s Alentejo region, where clients stay on working estates, spend slow afternoons outdoors, and enjoy long lunches sourced directly from the land.
In France, it can look like pairing Paris with Le Grand Contrôle in Versailles, where guests have private, after hours access to the Hall of Mirrors, walking through it after the palace has closed to the public, an experience most people will never have access to.
In the US, we’re seeing a strong shift toward more grounded, experiential travel, including

high-end dude ranches and nature focused escapes. For clients heading to Jackson Hole, we’re rethinking how they access Yellowstone. Instead of hours in the car, we arrange a private helicopter with a wildlife expert, landing in remote areas and spending the day actually experiencing the park.
In Bali, clients staying at Mandapa, a RitzCarlton Reserve, are not just enjoying the property, they are spending time in a local village, sitting in a family home, sharing tea and conversation, and seeing how daily life unfolds, followed by a long lunch overlooking the surrounding rice fields. It creates a much deeper connection to the destination.
Jonathan: For busy high-net-worth travelers, what are your top three practical tips for securing VIP upgrades, early check-in, resort credits, and anticipatory service at the world’s best summer properties—especially when everyone else is booking at the same time?
Katie: First, you cannot VIP yourself. The difference comes from who you book through. As a Virtuoso Partner Agency, our relationships with over 2,000 hotels and resorts allow us to add benefits like upgrades, breakfast, resort credits, and priority

placement that simply do not exist when booking on your own.
Second, details matter more than most people realize. Sharing who is traveling, and when you’re arriving, allows a hotel to prepare properly. It’s the difference between a standard check in and one of those “White Lotus” style arrivals.
That experience is not just for television. My family had that exact arrival at both Four Seasons Nevis and Four Seasons Bora Bora, arriving by boat, pulling up to the dock to see the entire team already there, lined up, smiling, waving, and waiting to greet us by name the moment we stepped off.
There is no check in desk moment. You’re welcomed and taken straight to your room, welcome drink in hand, without ever having to pause or figure anything out.
For families, this becomes even more important. Sharing the names and ages of children allows the hotel to personalize your stay, from what is waiting in the room to how the days are structured. That is what allows a hotel to move from reactive service to something far more thoughtful and anticipatory.
The worst thing you can do is say nothing. The best outcome comes from working with a travel advisor who captures these details once and ensures they are carried through every stay.
Jonathan: How do you evolve a client’s travel style across multiple trips—whether it’s a family summer adventure, a couples’ wellness retreat, or a multi-country journey—so that every summer feels more refined and indulgent than the last?
Katie: We approach travel as an ongoing relationship. Each trip builds on the last, and our role is to pay close attention to what worked and what didn’t.
For our clients, indulgence is not about doing more, it is about getting it right. A tour that felt too long, a restaurant that was beautiful but not right for their children, those details shape the next trip.
What a client wants also changes over time. A family with younger children may need more structure and flexibility, while a few years later, that same family may want more adventure or more meaningful, immersive experiences.
“Luxury today is less about excess and more about how thoughtfully a trip is designed—and how effortlessly it unfolds from the moment you leave home to the moment you return.”

How they travel also shifts depending on who they are with. A family trip looks very different from a couple’s trip. The same clients traveling as a couple may want something quieter and more design forward, like Amangiri, with a slower pace and space to disconnect.
Over time, we refine not just where our clients go, but how they travel, by listening, staying curious, and understanding what works for them at a deeper level. It is what allows us to suggest experiences and destinations they would not have thought to ask for, but that end up defining the trip.
This is why our VIP Membership exists. It creates a dedicated travel partnership, allowing us to continuously refine their preferences and build on what we have learned, so each trip feels more aligned than the last.
Jonathan: What emerging trends in luxury summer travel—whether it’s sustainability, wellness integration, or new experiential elements—are you most passionate about incorporating into 2026 itineraries, and how can readers start applying those same principles to elevate their own plans?
Katie: What excites us most is the shift toward more intentional travel. Our clients are moving away from checking boxes and toward experiences that feel meaningful and immersive.
Wellness is where we are seeing the most meaningful change. It is becoming less about a spa treatment and more about fully stepping away to reset. Rather than adding it onto a trip, we are guiding clients to go all in, choosing destinations designed entirely around how they want to feel.
Katie Bean Travels hosts annual retreats at resorts like Miraval in Arizona and Palmaïa in Mexico, each designed for a different type of reset, and knowing which is right for each client is part of what we do.
Sustainability is also evolving. Our clients are more aware of their impact, but not willing to compromise on quality. We focus on properties that do this well in practice. At places like Blackberry Farm even small details stand out, like replacing plastic bottles with beautifully designed reusable water bottles for the duration of the stay. It is subtle, but intentional, and reflective of a much larger philosophy.
Katie Bean Travels Team
Access is becoming more meaningful as well. On a recent trip to Venice, I spent a full day with the owner of New Murano Gallery, walking through the glassmaking process, sharing lunch on the water, and visiting spaces not open to the public. It completely changed how I experienced the destination.
For readers looking to elevate their own plans, start with how you want your days to feel, choose fewer places, stay longer, and build around a few experiences you will actually remember.
Luxury today is less about excess and more about how thoughtfully a trip is designed, how personally it reflects you, and how effortlessly it unfolds from the moment you leave home to the moment you return.

“The fountains tossed clouds of spray into the air, and just for fun made an occasional rainbow.”
— Radclyffe Hall, The Well of Loneliness
By Josie NeJame

Sometimes fashion begins not with a silhouette, but with a feeling The quote chosen for the invitation to Christian Dior’s Autumn/Winter 2627 collection, designed by Jonathan Anderson, set the tone long before the first model stepped onto the runway. Its poetic message about unexpected beauty and fleeting moments of joy felt particularly relevant today. The world may sometimes feel heavy and uncertain, and we naturally gravitate towards the things that remind us of lightness, optimism, and possibility. What the quote suggests and what Anderson seems to understand instinctively is that beauty does not always arrive in grand orchestrated moments. Sometimes it just appears naturally, like a rainbow caught in a fountain spray. In fashion, that translates to pieces that feel emotional rather than just impressive, joyful rather than simply luxurious.
Jonathan has built his reputation on exactly this kind of intellectual playfulness. Known for his work with his namesake JW Anderson and his
transformative tenor at Loewe, he has consistently shown an ability to inject humor, curiosity, and humanity into luxury fashion. Whether it was his viral pigeon clutch, famously carried by Sarah Jessica Parker in And Just Like That or his surrealist accessories that turn everyday objects into converted design pieces. Anderson has demonstrated that luxury can be serious and fun.
At Dior, that sensibility feels like a refreshing evolution of the house’s heritage. While Dior has always represented refinement and poetic femininity; Anderson introduces a sense of optimism and lightness that feels particularly timely. Nowhere is this more evident than the now highly anticipated lily pad heels from his A/W26 collection. His whimsical, elegant shoes quickly became among the most talked about accessories of PFW, with buyers and boutique managers already noting a strong demand. And should anyone at Dior Orlando or Neiman Marcus Orlando be taking notes- please consider this my completely professional and
purely journalistic reminder that I am very conveniently a size 39. For research purposes, of course.
The garden motif at the center of the collection also carries deeper meaning. Gardens along symbolize the meeting point between nature and design. Its beauty shaped through intention and care. Couture operates in the same way, transforming raw materials into something structured, emotional, and lasting. This connection feels especially fitting for Dior, as Christian Dior himself was famously passionate about flowers, and often drew inspiration from his own gardens, making florals a permanent part of the house vocabulary.

Beyond the garments that show’s scenography further reinforced Anderson’s poetic vision. The seating reference the iconic green park chairs of the Jardin des Tuileries, encouraging the idea of chance, encounters, and quiet observation. It’s a reminder that Paris has always been a city where fashion exists, not only on runways, but within

everyday life. The runway traced the perimeter of the Basin Octagonal fountain, with guest seated around the water, so the collection unfolded in the round, turning the audience into part of the experience itself. A bridge, spinning the fountain at the famous crossing of the Seine River. The symbolic connections between the historic right and left banks, and the constant exchange of ideas defines Parisian culture. As Anderson himself explained, “the collection reflects the constant flow of ideas that is so typical Parisian life, and the spectacle of the everyday.”
This renewed romanticism is not happening in isolation. Current collections from houses such as McQueen and Oscar de la Renta explore florals, not as simply a seasonal decoration, but as a sculptural, architectural expression of modern femininity. Corsetry shaped like petals, dimensional embroidery, and botanical silhouettes suggest strength as much as softness. It’s femininity that feels intentional rather than delicate.
It is impossible, not to think of the famous line from The Devil Wears Prada, when Miranda Priestly coolly remarks, “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.” Yet today, florals do feel new again. Not because they’re unfamiliar, but because designers are reinterpreting them through craftsmanship, proportion, and storytelling. Perhaps what makes this return to romantic dressing resonate so strongly now is the emotional role fashion continues to play in our lives. In moments of uncertainty, beauty becomes more than decoration. It becomes reassurance. It becomes escapism. It becomes joy.
Jonathan Anderson seems to understand this deeply. His work consistently reminds us that fashion at its best is not simply about trends or spectacle, but it’s about perspective. It’s about helping us see beauty where we might not have thought to look before. And perhaps that is the real take away from Dior’s poetic invitation. Like the rainbow unexpectedly appearing in the midst of a fountain, fashion still has the power to surprise us, to lift us, and remind us that even the smallest moments of beauty can feel extraordinary.

“Great style starts with authenticity — but right behind that is fit. Nothing matters more than wearing the correct size and investing in proper tailoring.”
By Jonathan Friese | Photography by Kimberly Jefcoat
Alan Chambers,Vice President of Operations for John Craig Clothier and its contemporary brand Current, is one of Florida’s most trusted voices in modern menswear. In this insightful conversation, he breaks down the rising trends of soft tailoring and deconstructed elegance, offering practical advice on how today’s discerning men can achieve a polished yet comfortable look — especially in Florida’s climate.
Jonathan: “Soft tailoring” and “deconstructed elegance” are terms we’re hearing more often in men’s fashion. For the modern professional, what do these concepts actually mean in practice, and how do they change the way a man should approach his wardrobe?
Alan: Soft tailoring refers to the construction of a garment. We’re seeing more sport coats made with little to no shoulder padding, along with half-lined or unlined interiors—all designed to increase comfort and ease of movement. This doesn’t automatically make a piece more casual; that comes down to fabric and finishing details. What soft tailoring really does is make tailored clothing more enjoyable to wear.
Deconstructed elegance, on the other hand, speaks to how an outfit is put together. Where men once followed strict rules around what “belonged” in a look, there’s now more freedom to incorporate unexpected pieces into a refined wardrobe. For example, instead of a traditional dress shirt and tie, you might pair a suit with an elevated silk or cashmere polo.
We’re also seeing a shift away from full suits as the default. Many men are opting for a sport coat paired with a five-pocket trouser— cut like a jean, but made in a refined fabric such as lightweight wool.
Even traditional outer layers are evolving. A sport coat might be swapped for a shacket (shirt jacket) or a swacket (sweater jacket). Both offer a more relaxed feel while still maintaining a polished, intentional look— elevated, but with a bit of personality.
Jonathan: Many successful professionals want to look polished without feeling overly formal. How does soft tailoring allow men to strike that balance between sophistication and comfort, especially in a climate like Florida’s?
Alan: Soft tailoring strikes a balance between comfort and polished sophistication. You can have a soft-tailored tuxedo that remains fully formal, but moves better and is more comfortable to wear over time. Today, fabric choice and fit make all the difference, allowing for ease and flexibility without sacrificing appearance.
During the more moderate months, soft tailoring also makes it possible to wear traditional fall and winter fabrics without the burden of heavy construction. Lighter linings—or none at all—help reduce weight, making these pieces far more comfortable while still delivering a refined look.
Jonathan: What are a few key pieces every well-dressed man should consider adding to his wardrobe this season if he wants to embrace the more relaxed, refined look we’re seeing in luxury menswear?
Alan: Every man should have a well-rounded foundation: a classic blazer, a great suit, and a range of shirting options to keep those staples versatile. Footwear matters just as much—invest in a refined loafer for more sophisticated occasions, and a quality suede or leather sneaker to dress down a suit or sport coat.
Whether off-the-rack or custom-made, the right pieces are out there—it’s simply a matter of finding what works best for you.
Jonathan: As the lines between business, social, and leisure wardrobes continue to blur, how can men transition a deconstructed blazer or soft suit from the office to an evening out without losing that elevated look?
Alan: It’s easy to transition from day to evening. If you’re wearing a suit and tie, take off the tie, add a playful pocket square, lose the lace up oxfords and throw on a loafer or sneaker.
For a dressy casual sport coat look, grab a dark-wash denim jean or a white five-pocket (white is my year-around go-to).
The rule is, look like you care no matter what you choose. If it needs to be ironed, iron it. If it needs to be hemmed or tailored, make that effort. Details matter.
Jonathan: From your perspective working with discerning clients, what are the most common mistakes men make when trying to update their style—and how can they modernize their look while still maintaining timeless elegance?
Alan: The most common mistake men make is trying to be someone they’re not. Great style starts with authenticity—but right behind that is fit. Nothing matters more than wearing the correct size and investing in proper tailoring. Pants that puddle at the ankle or sleeves that are too long (or too short) are immediately noticeable and can undermine an otherwise solid outfit.
While John Craig is a luxury store, we understand that not everyone can—or wants to—spend at that level. The truth is, you can look great at any budget. It just takes a bit of effort, attention to detail, and the right guidance.
Too often, men—or the people shopping for them—buy into trends that don’t suit their personality or body type. The key is to stay true to yourself and seek advice from someone who understands fit and style. And if the person you’re asking for help doesn’t look like they take pride in their own appearance, it’s worth finding someone else.
At the end of the day, style is always evolving. What feels timeless today may not feel the same tomorrow. The goal is to understand the difference between trends and pieces with lasting appeal—and to be willing to adapt as things change.

Bentley has elevated the art of in-car audio to new heights with the introduction of the ‘Naim for Mulliner’ system, now available across the exclusive Virtuoso Collection.
Building on its long-standing partnership with Naim — spanning over 15 years and more than 10,000 hours of development for the coachbuilt Batur — Bentley has refined this ultra-premium audio experience for broader availability. Originally an eye-watering $33,300 option, the system now defines the zenith of in-car sound, seamlessly blending cutting-edge technology with Mulliner’s signature craftsmanship.
At the heart of the Virtuoso Collection lies the Naim for Mulliner audio suite, featuring 18 speakers plus two upgraded drivers derived from the Batur. Developed in close collaboration with Dolby Laboratories, it delivers a thrilling multi-dimensional immersive experience powered by Dolby Atmos® technology. Sound moves freely around the cabin with remarkable clarity and depth, placing occupants inside the music. This is further enhanced by Fraunhofer Symphoria rendering, meticulously tuned for each model to create a broad, balanced soundstage.
Acoustic performance reaches new heights thanks to new Focal speaker drivers with patented ‘M’ cones. These hand-wound units offer 20% increased cone movement for superior articulation and dynamic range, while revised speaker grilles provide 26% greater acoustic transparency. Strategic use of soft Dinamica inserts absorbs unwanted vibrations, ensuring a serene listening environment.
The Virtuoso Collection pairs this sonic masterpiece with refined aesthetics. Champagne Gold detailing accents the exterior winged badges, exhaust tips, and key fob, while unique embroidery inspired by sound waves and radial rhythms adorns the cabin. Three curated themes — Soprano (light and serene with Linen and Gravity Grey hides), Tenor (balanced with Stratos and Brunel hides), and Bass (dramatic with Beluga and Gravity Grey hides) — offer
distinct moods through luxurious hides, Dinamica fabrics, and fine veneers.
Available on the Continental GT, GTC, and Bentayga — with the Flying Spur to follow later this year — the limited Virtuoso Collection transforms every journey into a private concert hall. For Bentley clients seeking the ultimate fusion of performance, luxury, and auditory artistry, this is automotive audio redefined.

Sam is a 25-year-old man who is experiencing leg pain. Sam goes to see his physician, Dr. Gray. The physician examines Sam and finds a lump behind his knee. He tells Sam that there is probably nothing to worry about, but, in an abundance of caution, Dr. Gray coordinates for a biopsy and the sample is sent to pathology. Unfortunately, the pathology report sent to the doctor confirms that Sam is suffering from a type of cancer.
The cancer is serious, but with proper treatment, Sam will have 40 percent chance of remission. Tragically, Dr. Gray fails to inform Sam, so no treatment is provided. Within six months, the cancer has invaded his bloodstream and Sam’s chance of survival is now only 1 percent.
But Sam cannot hold Dr. Gray legally responsible for medical malpractice here in the state of Florida.
A plaintiff in a medical malpractice action in Florida must show more than merely a decreased chance of survival. The plaintiff must show that the injury “more likely than not” resulted from the medical mistake.
The “more likely than not” standard is satisfied only when a plaintiff can prove there was a 51 percent or greater chance the injury or death would not have occurred but for the actions, or lack thereof, of the health-care provider. So, if the patient has less than a 51 percent chance of survival or treatability prior to the physician’s error, that patient cannot bring
legal action against that doctor. The Florida Supreme Court case of Gooding v. University Hospital Building, Inc. (1984) established the rule that in negligence actions—specifically medical malpractice—a plaintiff must prove proximate cause by showing it is “more likely than not” (greater than 50% likelihood) that the defendant’s negligence caused the injury.
Medical malpractice laws tend to favor physicians more than patients and should be revised to protect the consuming public. Patients must be able to hold physicians and hospitals responsible to make medical care safer for everyone.

STATEMENT MIRRORS
The Focal Point of 2026 Interiors DESIGN
In 2026, statement mirrors have become sculptural art pieces that elevate any interior. Oversized designs with organic shapes—like irregular puddles, soft arches, and wavy ovals— paired with textured frames in hammered metal, rattan, or brushed gold, dominate trends.
These mirrors amplify light, add depth and drama, while creating a warm, collected feel. Lean one against a wall or hang gallerystyle for instant personality in living rooms, entryways, or bedrooms.
A bold mirror effortlessly transforms your space.

THE RISE OF PALM BEACH MAXIMALISM
Bold, expressive, and joyfully layered, today’s emerging interior design trend embraces a vibrant return to personality-driven spaces. Often described as Grandmillennial or maximalist Palm Beach style, the look pairs traditional elegance with playful modern energy. Rich greens, warm citrus tones, lush florals, and whimsical animal motifs—especially tiger prints—create rooms that feel collected rather than perfectly curated.
Inspired by classic resort glamour and heritage design influences from tastemakers like Dorothy Draper and Jonathan Adler, the
THE RISE OF WARM, EARTHY INTERIORS
Warm, earthy palettes are redefining interiors for 2026, signaling a clear departure from the cool gray tones that once dominated modern design. Today’s spaces embrace nature-inspired hues — terracotta, olive green, clay, sand, and soft creamy ivories — creating environments that feel inviting, relaxed, and deeply personal. Designers are layering these colors across walls, upholstery, cabinetry, and even hardware finishes like warm brass to cultivate a sense of warmth and authenticity. Rather than striving for perfection, homeowners are prioritizing emotional comfort and livability, favoring interiors that feel collected over time. The shift reflects a broader desire for calm, restorative spaces that reconnect daily living with nature, turning homes into sanctuaries grounded in balance, beauty, and well-being.
aesthetic celebrates pattern mixing, decorative storytelling, and fearless color. Rather than minimalism’s quiet restraint, this movement encourages layered textiles, statement wallpapers, and meaningful objects that reflect personal style.
Designers say the shift reflects a broader desire for comfort and individuality at home. Spaces are meant to feel lived-in, optimistic, and immersive—less showroom, more sanctuary. The result is a fresh interpretation of classic design: sophisticated yet relaxed, nostalgic yet unmistakably modern.
