Hair for a person, not on a person. This seemingly simple sentence encapsulates the spirit of Davines Hair, an approach that marries technique with a sensibility to who the person is and what makes the hair happy. We aim to move beyond simply capturing photographs of hair and create images that convey the spirit and vision of the brand, where the wearer’s idea of the hair is as important as Davines itself. There are always two ways to look at things: a straight-on, frontal perspective that describes, and a lateral one that tells a story. One captures the shape of things; the other, their essence. This hair collection embraces both, exploring the ability to see beyond the obvious finding art in everyday life, the unexpected in the ordinary, and beauty where you least expect it— thinking not of today or the immediate future but only of creating images that can feel timeless and compelling. With this collection of photographs, we wanted to capture a moment that didn’t exist one second before or after the camera shutter closed, with their unrepeatable, unique sensations, glances, thoughts, (and hair looks). A true self, in that fleeting moment. Once, Forever.

Knowledgeable hands
The idea of knowledgeable hands is the use of a hairdresser’s instinct when approaching a head of hair. A hairdresser can know how to execute a technique but it’s their unconscious knowledge which allows them to use their hands to design a look tailored to the individual. By taking the time to truly look at and asses the hair, it’s unique qualities and the person themselves we are able to work in ways which will make the hair happy. This is how we create hair that is for a person not on a person.
Lilly
A single sheet of platinum blonde colour communicates both excess and restrainttime & care has been taken to achieve a minimalist result. Not the lack of something but the perfect amount of something else. A haircut which has been decided by the waves, textures, flicks & kicks of the hair’s natural inclinations, framing the eyes and cheekbones in a way that enhances rather than overpowers what was always there.
JuliaA shape with equal balance of freedom and formation, technical and precise at the base becoming wilder and more shattered as the length increases through the top. Blonde hair without a root evokes a feeling of total commitment, a 90’s update which with the addition of the subtle root shadows anchors the look in reality.
Ying
Fjords of light brunette run in channels up and down this graphic geometric shape creating a subtle separation without clashing. Like the grains in walnut wood (or a description less predictable).
Julie
No look is more tailored to the person than that with textured curly hair. By respecting the natural fall, the cool and smoky lighter blonde paired with deeper champagne tones help give definition to the shape. The haircut and style take from what’s already there and gently shapes creating a look which is truly “for rather than on” a person.
Alceste
Neither a bob nor a mullet, a look which has the beautiful feeling of a grown-out shape, a lived in haircut which feels both new and like it’s always been there. A dark, natural root anchored in a vibrant blood orange tone which drenches the ends. It’s a look which isn’t for everyone, but for those whom it is, it’s a chance to walk into something new.

The Present Time
The Present Time expresses the desire to honour the moment we are living in despite the chaotic nature of our lives.
Through the gift of a few words of wisdom we want to invite everyone to stop and reflect upon something that is meaningful, and we want them to feel they are seen, as human beings.
The Present Time colour is designed to celebrate each person’s uniqueness, representing the individual as they are right now – everchanging, yet captured in a moment. With a sustainable and low-commitment colour approach, that beautifully evolves just like you.
Beautiful Things
Time spent with friends, a favourite lipstick, the smell of fresh bread or an album you listen to on repeat… beautiful things are not just things: it is everything that brings poetry to your life, that makes you feel good and, beautiful in your own eyes.
Beautiful Things is a fusion of effectiveness, innovation and sustainability .An exclusive insalon treatment that can be used by your Davines stylist during colour transformations to restore, protect and detoxify hair from metals and mineral build-up, and enhance colour.
