Years 7–12

Note: Core subjects are shown in bold.

The VCE courses are representative of those offered in past years. The actual subjects offered in any given year will depend on the selections of the students. Therefore, while we make every effort to ensure that the subject preferences of individual students are catered for, the School reserves the right to vary the program according to the level of student demand.

Year 7

Students complete ten core subjects and their choice of Language. Students enrolled in LEX will not complete a Language.

Year 8

Students continue with their choice of Language and once again complete ten core subjects, however they will experience different disciplines within the Visual Arts, Performing Arts and Technologies. Students enrolled in LEX will not complete a Language.

Year 9

Students continue with their choice of Language. In addition to the core subjects, students have a choice of two Semester long electives. Students enrolled in LEX will not complete a Language.

Year 10

In addition to the core subjects, students have a choice of four Semester-long electives. Additionally, students must choose one of three electives for English in Semester 2. Students may select one Units 1 & 2 VCE sequence if they meet eligibility requirements.

During the last two weeks of Term 2, all Year 10 students will be involved in an Immersion Project. The Immersion Projects offered for 2026 are listed in the table under ‘Immersion Projects (Year 10 students only)’.

Year 11

In addition to English, English Language or Literature (Units 1 & 2), students undertake ten other subjects (usually Study sequences). Most students in Year 11 will be undertaking a total of six Studies consisting of twelve Semester-length units over the year. Students may take one Units 3 & 4 sequence.

Year 12

In addition to English, English Language or Literature (Units 3 & 4), students undertake four other Units 3 & 4 sequences. Most students in Year 12 will be undertaking a total of five Studies. These will usually be Units 3 & 4 sequences. Some students with a particular interest in the area may take two of English, Literature or English Language (Units 3 & 4).
