The light that shines is the light of love, lights the darkness from above it shines on me and it shines on you, and shows what the power of love can do. I’m gonna shine my light both far and near, I’m gonna shine my light both bright and clear. Where there’s a dark corner in this land I’m gonna let my little light shine. On Monday he gave me the gift of love, Tuesday, peace came from above, on Wednesday he told me to have more faith, on Thursday he gave me a little more grace. 1. The Guild of Friendship meets tomorrow at 14.15 in the Hall for a Bring and Buy and a Chat. All welcome. 2. The Guild, and the Men’s Club meet together in the Hall at 14.00 on Monday 17 February for an evening with The Singing Policeman, Mr. Raymond Mack. All welcome. 3. The Scottish Country Dancing meet in the Hall on Wednesday 19 February at 19.30. All welcome. 4. Team Meetings: Please note the following dates in your diaries. (a) Wednesday 19 February at 19.15 in the Session Room – Worship & Education. (b) Tuesday 25 February at 19.15 in the Session Room - Mission & Outreach. 5. Lent. Thinking of what to give up for Lent? How about – take a black bag or any other container that would hold 40 items. Every day put in1 item that you can live without but that somebody else would find useful. Items could be from a wardrobe, drawer, kitchen cupboard, bookshelf, cabinet, a CD, a DVD etc. Once filled you can then deliver it to a charity shop and remember that if you are registered Gift Aid to a particular one, they would also benefit. This way you would be not only decluttering but doing outreach to the community. 6. Befriend a Child are looking for Kilt Walkers to join their team at the Aberdeen Kilt Walk on Sunday 7 June. Walkers are asked to fundraise for the charity by taking part in either The Mighty Stride: 26 miles, The Big Stroll: 15 miles or The Wee Wander: 5 miles. The team will help create more smiles by walking the miles for the children supported by Befriend a Child in Aberdeen and

Dyce Parish Church are delighted to be welcoming back, after an absence of over 7 years, the supremely talented and entertaining singer/songwriter from Northern Ireland, Mr. Brian Houston. As part of his tour Brian will be playing one night only in the North East and we are glad he has chosen Dyce Parish Church, on Saturday 22 February where he first played way back in 2004. Doors open at 19.00 with Brian on stage at 19.30. This promises to be an intimate entertaining musical evening of songs entwined with his inimitable wit, charm and stories. If you are able, please bring along one item of non-perishable (canned/packet) food each week to place in the food collection bin located in the hall. 9. Intimations.
