St. John’s Church for Deaf People will hold a table top sale in the Hall after worship this morning (12.00-13.00). Please come along and support this

St. Mark’s Players will meet in the Sanctuary at 18.00 this evening to rehearse for the service on 22 December 2019. There will also be a rehearsal with the Choir on Sunday 24 November at 12.15. Best news! We will have our Musical Director involved at all rehearsals and for 22 December.

Flower Rota. There are 2 dates available to donate flowers for the Church which are then passed on to people who appreciate and enjoy them. The dates are 5 July and 30 August. If you do not at present donate, please think about it and contact me. We are also in great need of people to deliver these flowers and, again, please think about it and contact Arlene (01224 635544) or speak to Alison MacKay.

The Guild of Friendship (Church Outreach to the Community) meets in the Hall tomorrow afternoon at 14.15 in the Hall Ian Lord will give a talk on his travels as a photographer. All welcome.

The Guild, and the Men’s Club meet together at 19.30 tomorrow evening in the Hall when a presentation will be made by Mr. Donald Anderson of The Breadmaker. All welcome.

Bible Study. Understanding Our Faith. The new series of studies exploring our Christian faith continues on Thursday 21 November at 19.30 in the Session Room. Teas, Coffees and fine pieces as well. Everyone most welcome.

The Pastoral Team would like your help. Do you know of anyone at home or in care who would benefit from a short visit? Please contact either Ian Lord, Jillian Carrol, St. Mark’s Office or any member on the photo list in the Hall.

Coffee Morning. The Men’s Club is holding a coffee morning in the Hall from 10.00-13.00 on Saturday 23 November. Donations of home bakes and raffle prizes will be gratefully received. Please come along and support this event.

Befriend a Child – Giving Tree. We now have gift tags for the 2019 appeal. Please take a tag from the tree, if you are able, and provide a gift for the named child.
10. Christmas Eve Watchnight Service. On Tuesday 19th November, BBC Radio Scotland are recording their Christmas Eve Watchnight Service at St Machar’s Cathedral. Anyone wishing to take part in the service would be most welcome. It is suggested that people arrive from 6.30 pm and be in their seats by 6.55. Events will begin at 7pm and run-throughs and recording will take about two hours 11. Lift to Church. We have received confirmation that the gentleman who was looking for a lift, now has one. The request was made to us in error and should have been made to St. Mary’s. Thank you and apologies to all who gave consideration to this. 12. A Prayer and Healing Programme is being held in Holburn West Church Sanctuary on Great Western Road. The next session, “Bereavement and Healing” will be held on Saturday 30 November with Rev. Dr. Ruth Green of St. James Scottish Episcopal Church, Aberdeen, from 09.30-12.30; and “A Personal Journey of Healing” with Mrs. Ann Smith, Adult Education Facilitator for the Presbytery of Aberdeen. For further information please see the posters in the Vestibule/Hall. 13. Somebody Cares. If you are able, please bring along one item of nonperishable (canned/packet) food each week to place in the food collections. We currently have two bins located in the hall but once the donations have been uplifted this will be reduced to one bin. 14. Intimations. Please ensure that all intimations are passed on to the Church Office by 12.00 on Wednesday each week for inclusion in the Order of Service. 15./
