Church Family News 1.
The Presbytery Planning & Deployment Committee (PDC) will be attending our next Session Meeting on Wednesday 13 November at 19.15. If Elders have any questions regarding the Presbytery Plan, please pass these to Dianne or Helen ahead of the meeting and no later than Monday 11 November. Another Session Meeting will be set to discuss ordinary business.

The Guild of Friendship (Church Outreach to the Community) meets in the Hall tomorrow afternoon (4 November) at 14.15 in the Hall when entertainment will be provided by Moira and Hillary. All welcome.

The Guild & Men’s Club meet together in the Hall at 19.30 tomorrow evening (4 November) in the Hall when a talk will be given on Crossreach. All welcome.

Bible Study. Understanding Our Faith. The new series of studies exploring our Christian faith continues on Thursday 4 November at 19.30 in the Session Room. Teas, Coffees and fine pieces as well. Everyone most welcome.

The Social & Fundraising Team is holding a soup and pudding lunch in the Hall after worship today. Tickets (£5) are available from Anne Donaldson or any other member of the team.

St. John’s Church for Deaf People is holding a Christmas sale of work in the Hall after worship this morning.

The Co-ordinating Team meets again in the Session Room at 19.15 on Wednesday 6 November.

O.A.K. is holding a Special Lunch in the Hall on Thursday 7 November from 11.30-14.30. Tickets (£7) are available from any member of the O.A.K. Committee or from the Cafe.

St. Mark’s Messenger will be available for delivery on Sunday 1 December, 2019, but before then the Deadline for articles is on Sunday 10 November or a week earlier for non-electronic contributions.
10. St. Mark’s Players will meet on Sundays 10 & 17 November at 18.00 (no rehearsal on 3 November) to rehearse for the service on 22 December, 2019. There will also be a rehearsal with the Choir on Sunday 24 November at 12.15. Best news! We will have our Musical Director involved at all rehearsals and for 22 December. 11. Blessing Service. An invitation is given to attend the blessing of Richard and Amanda’s marriage here in St. Mark’s on Wednesday 13 November at 14.00. All are very welcome to what will be a very joyful service! The service will be followed by High Tea in the Station Hotel, Guild Street. If you wish to attend the High Tea please speak to Richard and Amanda either following morning worship or call 01224 360849 so they can advise the Hotel of numbers. No charge for attending unless you wish to purchase your own additional alcoholic drink. 12. Conference Day – “From small talk to Big Talk” offered by Aberdeen Street Pastors is being held on 16 November from 09.30-15.00 in Deeside Christian Fellowship Church, Milltimber, AB13 0JE. The guest speaker will be Roger Carswell. Tickets are £5 (plus £0.80 BF) are available from www.smalltalktobigtalk.evenbrite.co.uk. All welcome. Bring your friends too. 13. A Prayer and Healing Programme is being held in Holburn West Church Sanctuary on Great Western Road. The next session, “Bereavement and Healing” will be held on Saturday 30 November with Rev. Dr. Ruth Green of St. James Scottish Episcopal Church, Aberdeen, from 09.30-12.30; and “A Personal Journey of Healing” with Mrs. Ann Smith, Adult EDUCATION Facilitator for the Presbytery of Aberdeen. For further information please see the posters in the Vestibule/Hall. 14. Somebody Cares. If you are able, please bring along one item of nonperishable (canned/packet) food each week to place in the food collections. We currently have two bins located in the hall but once the donations have been uplifted this will be reduced to one bin. 15. Intimations. Please ensure that all intimations are passed on to the Church Office by 12.00 on Wednesday each week for inclusion in the Order of Service. 16./
