The Guild of Friendship (Church Outreach to the Community) meets in the Hall tomorrow afternoon (28 October) at 14.15 in the Hall for a games afternoon. All welcome.

The Men’s Club meets in the Hall at 19.30 tomorrow evening (28 October) in the Hall for a games night. All welcome.

The Guild meets again on Thursday 31 October at 14.00 in the Hall. All welcome.

Bible Study. Understanding Our Faith. The new series of studies exploring our Christian faith continues on Thursday 31 October at 19.30 in the Session Room. Teas, Coffees and fine pieces as well. Everyone most welcome
6.
Coffee Morning. The Guild is holding a coffee morning in the Hall from 10.00-13.00 on Saturday 2 November. Donations of home bakes and raffle prizes will be gratefully received.

The Social & Fundraising Team is holding a soup and pudding lunch in the Hall after morning worship on Sunday 3 November. Tickets (£5) are available from Anne Donaldson or any other member of the team.

The Co-ordinating Team meets again in the Session Room at 19.15 on Wednesday 6 November.

O.A.K. is holding a Special Lunch in the Hall on Thursday 7 November from 11.30-14.30. Tickets (£7) are available from any member of the O.A.K. Committee or from the Cafe.
10. St. Mark’s Players will meet on Sundays 10 & 17 November at 18.00 (no rehearsal on 3 November) to rehearse for the service on 22 December 2019. There will also be a rehearsal with the Choir on Sunday 24 November at 12.15. Best news! We will have our Musical Director involved at all rehearsals and for 22 December.
11. Blessing Service. An invitation is given to attend the blessing of Richard and Amanda’s marriage here in St. Mark’s on Wednesday 13 November at 14.00. All are very welcome to what will be a very joyful service! The service will be followed by High Tea in the Station Hotel, Guild Street. If you wish to attend the High Tea, please speak to Richard and Amanda either following morning worship or call 01224 360849 so they can advise the Hotel of numbers. No charge for attending unless you wish to purchase your own additional alcoholic drink. 12. Beadle and Door Duty Rotas. Volunteers are required to assist with the Beadle and Door Duty Rotas for Sunday Services. Beadles work in pairs to open and set up the church on a weekly basis. The greater the number of volunteers the fewer times each year you are on duty. Full instructions will be given, and volunteers may be Elders or members of the congregation. The same is true for those volunteering to do Door Duty. There are three volunteers on duty for two consecutive weeks throughout the year. Anyone interested in helping St. Mark’s in this way should give their names to Alex McConochie or to the Church Office. Those who have previously assisted but no longer do so for whatever reason but are now able to resume such duties should also advise accordingly. It is proposed to have the new Rotas operational from Sunday 5 January 2020. New volunteers will be on duty with those who already have experience. 13. Crossreach. An exhibition is being held at Mannofield Parish Church throughout the month of October (Monday-Friday 14.00-16.00). 14. A Prayer and Healing Programme is being held in Holburn West Church Sanctuary on Great Western Road. The next session, “Bereavement and Healing” will be held on Saturday 30 November with Rev. Dr. Ruth Green of St. James Scottish Episcopal Church, Aberdeen, from 09.30-12.30; and “A Personal Journey of Healing” with Mrs. Ann Smith, Adult Education Facilitator for the Presbytery of Aberdeen. For further information please see the posters in the Vestibule/Hall. 15. The Grampian Hospitals’ Choir will be holding their annual Christmas Concert in aid of CLIC Sargent on Sunday 8 December at 14.30 in the Music Hall. Tickets priced £15 (£12 concession) may be ordered through Malcolm Steel (01224 492461) with no booking fee.
16. Somebody Cares. If you are able, please bring along one item of nonperishable (canned/packet) food each week to place in the food collections. We currently have two bins located in the hall but once the donations have been uplifted this will be reduced to one bin. 17. Intimations. Please ensure that all intimations are passed on to the Church Office by 12.00 on Wednesday each week for inclusion in the Order of Service. 18. Please let us know of:(a) Any member of the Church or a member of their family being in hospital; or (b) Any member of the Church who is unable to come on a Sunday and who would appreciate Home Holy Communion.
