Church Family News
1.
Retiral Collection. There will be a collection after the service this morning in aid of the Disasters Emergency Committee appeal following the horrendous cyclone which hit Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
2.
Circle of Care. If you are able to assist in the transportation of members to and from the Circle of Care Communion on Palm Sunday (14 April), please add your name to the list in the Vestibule.
3.
Choral Group. There will be a rehearsal with the Choral Group for the Easter Day Service. The dates and time of the rehearsals are 10.15 on 7 & 21 April. All are welcome to come along and join us.

Students’ Concert. The annual Students’ Concert for O.A.P.’s will take place on Wednesday 3 April at 14.00 in the Hall. Refreshments will be served.
5.
The Scottish Country Dance Class meets in the Hall on Wednesday 3 April at 19.30. All welcome.
6.
Supper Club. There will be a coffee morning in aid of the Supper Club on Saturday 13 April from 10.00-13.00 in the Hall. Please come along and support this event.
7.
Safeguarding. There will be a Safeguarding Training by Ann Hepburn, Aberdeen Presbytery Trainer for volunteers and staff on Thursday 11 April, 2019 from 19.00 to 21.30 (registration from 18.40) in Jubilee Hall, South Holburn Church, 539A Holburn Street, AB10 7LH. If interested please speak to Helen Burr.

Fire Wardens Due to current legislation it is necessary, and important to carry out on an annual basis, a fire drill in St. Mark’s.
To enable us to carry out this task it is necessary to appoint a number of Fire Wardens to assist in the safe evacuation of the building and halls. We are looking for volunteers from the congregation to assist. The only requirement is to be reasonably fit and able to ascend and descend the staircases. Training will be provided. For more details please contact Alan Brown, Milton Montgomery or leave your name with Carole in the office. 9.
Somebody Cares. If you are able, could you please bring along one item of non-perishable (canned/packet) food each week to place in the food collections. There are two bins, one in the Vestibule and one in the Hall.
10. Anzac Day Service. A service is being held in St. Machar’s Cathedral on Thursday 25 April, 2019 at 19.00. Refreshments will be served after the service. All welcome. 11. Intimations. Please ensure that all intimations are passed to the Church Office by 12.00 on Wednesday each week for inclusion on the sheet. 12. Please let us know of:a) Any member of the Church or a member of their family being in hospital; or b) Any member of the Church who is unable to come to Church on a Sunday and who would appreciate Home Holy Communion.
