Today is the Twenty-second Sunday after Pentecost, Proper 27C and our collect is found on page 181.
Today is Remembrance Sunday in the countries of the Commonwealth, and we commemorate the service and sacrifice of those who have died in wars and other military conflicts, defending our freedoms and our way of life.

Hurricane Melissa Recovery
PRESIDENT: Lord God, from whom no human suffering is hidden and no cry of pain goes unheard: Be with those whose lives have been torn apart recently by Hurricane Melissa, that finding consolation in their grief, and new purpose in their actions, they may, with the help of charities and the support of neighbours, rebuild their lives and find wholeness and peace once again. May we, and other islands who have been spared of this hurricane, be inspired by your spirit of love, compassion and generosity, to respond with a hand of care to our Caribbean neighbour, Jamaica, and others affected, with the means you have blessed us with, through Jesus Christ our Lord. PRESIDENT: Let us now stand and reaffirm our faith in our Lord Jesus Christ in the words of the Nicene Creed.

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen or unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God,

For us and for our salvation
He came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
