Rodney Crim Speaks at State of North County Luncheon

Elected officials, industry leaders share updates at NCI event

On Feb. 26, Rodney Crim, CEO and president of St. Louis Economic Development Partnership, was among ten area leaders who spoke at North County Incorporated’s (NCI) State of North County Luncheon. Crim and the additional leaders provided updates on positive news occurring throughout North County and took questions from the audience.

Among the projects highlighted at the event were: the major housing development coming to Lulu Heights in Wellston, the Urban Training Center that will be built in Wellston, efforts to clean up Kinloch, Performance Food Group’s new facility in Berkley, the expansion of Boeing in North County and many other projects.

NCI collaborates with local businesses, civic and community organizations, residents, and governments to advocate for a vibrant and prosperous North St. Louis County. Since 1977, NCI has represented the 45 municipalities and unincorporated areas that make up North County.

Stella Sheehan, deputy director at World Trade Center St. Louis, was recently featured by St. Louis Magazine in the Clayton Community Spotlight.

In the question-and-answer interview, Sheehan shares what motivates her, values that guide her, standout memories from her career, challenges she’s experienced, what inspires her as well as her hobbies and interests.

Crim, Nowak and Sierra Named Among St. Louis’s Top Business Leaders

STL Partnership trio makes St. Louis Magazine’s 2026 Business 500 list

Rodney Crim, CEO and president of St. Louis Economic Development Partnership, Tim Nowak, executive director of World Trade Center St. Louis (WTC), and Suzanne Sierra, executive director of the St. Louis Mosaic Project, were named to the St. Louis Magazine second annual St. Louis Business 500 list. Crim, Nowak and Sierra were all included in the Government, Economic and Community Development category, which featured local leaders working to grow business and infrastructure across the region.

According to St. Louis Magazine, the St. Louis Business 500 is a guide to some of the metro area’s most influential, impactful and innovative leaders. This is the second consecutive year Crim and Nowak made the prestigious list, and the first time for Sierra.

World Trade Center St. Louis Hosts Panel Discussion

Highlighting International Women

Speakers from different parts of the world educate audience at Engage in Trade

On March 10, World Trade Center St. Louis (WTC) hosted an Engage in Trade, its monthly educational series, at its headquarters with a focus on international women. With International Women’s Day recently occurring on March 8, the speakers at the event were three women from three different countries who are now settled in the St. Louis region.

During the panel discussion, which was moderated by Susan Spitz, international business development specialist at WTC, the audience learned about how the speakers have overcome adversity in their home countries and in the U.S. Also, mentoring opportunities that are available for foreign born women in St. Louis, how the speakers’ contributions are making an impact—both throughout St. Louis and across the globe—and any advice they had for women looking to start or advance their careers in St. Louis.
