May is Mental Health Awareness Month. This month is focused on supporting those who live with mental health conditions.
Many people don't know that 1 in 5 adult Americans live with a mental health condition. It is always important to keep in mind how prevalent mental health conditions are, and how people in your life may be living with a condition without your knowledge.
Be sure to take some time this month to think about how you engage with your mental health. Activities like exercise, mindfulness, and therapy can all improve your quality of life, especially if you live with a mental health condition.
Always remember, you are not alone. There are millions of people who may be struggling just as you are, and a community available for everyone.

• On May 14, 1804, the great American explorers Lewis and Clark explorers began their trip up the Missouri River.
• May was first named for Maia, the Roman goddess of spring and growth.

Staff Highlights
Jason Archer had two big moments in April worth celebrating. First he was chosen for Small Business Monthly's Top 100 St. Louisans to Know to Succeed in Business. He was honored at an award ceremony in early April. Archer also took part in panel last month focused regional development and competitive postioning. This panel was part of a larger event: The St. Louis REALTORS 2026 Commercial Summit. The panel was full of insightful discussions, and Archer really shone as he represented the Partnership.
Vanessa Greene was a panelist at the "Navigating St. Louis: Connecting Entrepreneurs to Local Resources" discussion in April. She did a wonderful job, especially with engaging the audience and explaining how our incubators work. Overall, it was a thorough and enlightening panel discussion, and Vanessa proudly represented the Partnership well.
To celebrate Earth Day, Partnership staff teamed up with community partners including the City of Kinloch, Boeing, and Paric to cleanup a portion of Kinloch. It was a sunny day, perfect for outdoor work. Over 100 individuals showed up to take part in the cleanup, resulting in hundreds of trashbags worth of debris being picked up. We appreciate every staff member who came out.
We'd like to give a special shoutout to Kellie and Maude for organizing the event. It was a complete success!

What is your favorite part of your day-to-day work at the office?
My favorite part of the day-to-day work is collaborating with and assisting my coworkers. I find it rewarding to contribute to a supportive team environment and help others succeed.
What’s a surprising fact people don’t know about you?
I’m a licensed cosmetologist that maintains her license, although I am not currently practicing.
What do you think the secret to your success is?
My success is deeply rooted in my faith, which has shaped my values, strengthened my resilience, and motivated me to pursue excellence with purpose and consistency. "Karen is always willing to pause what she is working on to help others and is consistently supportive of the team."
