In general, the year-to-date number of reported cases of enteric illnesses are slightly lower when compared with the median of the past five years. Notably, cases of cyclosporiasis (5 vs. 19 cases, 74% decrease), cryptosporidiosis (22 vs. 48 cases, 54% decrease), and E. coli shiga toxin (non O157) (25 vs. 31 cases, 19% decrease). However, cases of giardiasis (32 vs. 23 cases, 39% increase) and campylobacteriosis (107 vs. 98, 9% increase) are higher when compared with the year-to-date median of the past five years. ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….…………………………….…………………………………...... This is a 29.6% increase from the 4,648 cases reported in November 2022.
