ST. LOUIS COUNTY TAX SALE NOTICE OF SALE Third Offering of Delinquent Lands and Lots The following is a publication of lands and lots in the County of St. Louis, Missouri, upon which Tax Certificates are to be offered for sale on Monday, August 28, 2023. The Annual St. Louis County Real Property Tax Sale will be conducted by sealed bid ONLY. This publication serves as a notice to anyone with a lease, lien or claim on any of the listed properties of that person’s need to redeem their interest in the properties to avoid sale for taxes. All persons participating in the sale must register before making bids by utilizing the notarized registration form. The completed and notarized form must be submitted to the Collector of Revenue’s office in advance of the sale. Upon receipt of your bidder number, sealed bids must be submitted to the Collection Division’s drop box located in the Street Level lobby at 41 S. Central, Clayton MO 63105 beginning Friday, August 25, 2023. The FINAL DEADLINE for submission is 5pm CST, Wednesday, August 30, 2023. No sealed bids will be opened by Collection Division staff until the close of business Wednesday, August 30, 2023, 5pm CST. In compliance with section 140.150, 140.170, 140.290 RSMO, all parcels sold will have an additional fee of $27 added at the time of sale to cover the costs of recording the certificate of purchase. The lands or lots are to be sold under the descriptions as listed. The amounts shown are due for each year plus $27.00 to cover the cost of recording the certificate of purchase represent the total amount of taxes, interest, penalties and expenses incidental to this sale. All sales are final. The Certificate of Purchase will be issued and delivered to the purchasers. A collector's deed will be issued and delivered to the purchasers after fulfillment of notification process and statutory redemption period. It must be noted that the “Supreme Court of Missouri” has determined that deeds of trust, mortgages and other security interests may not be extinguished by tax sales pursuant to Chapter 140 R.S. Mo. Said liens may remain in full force and effect. Therefore, in Collector of Revenue Tax Sales, St Louis County only transfers such interest as it possesses in the property at the time of tax sale. I ssuance of a collector’s deed, alone, does not convey clear title. The Collector makes no warranty, guarantee, or other affirmation as to the title to be transferred by any sale.
