Why Rick Stream? Fannie Lou Hamer club defends endorsement By Chris King Of The St. Louis American The Fannie Lou Hamer Democratic Club of St. Louis County endorsed Rick Stream, a conservative Republican, over Democratic nominee Steve Stenger for St. Louis County Executive. The general election is Tuesday, November 4. Stenger, an attorney from South County who is closely tied to St. Louis County Prosecutor Robert McCulloch, is attacking Stream as “too extreme for St. Louis County.” Stream has sided with Missouri Republicans in measures that would have the effect of excluding some lowMike Jones income voters. He has cast doubt on whether President Barack Obama was born in the United States and eligible to serve in the nation’s highest office. ‘Sista-ly’ love More than 8,000 arrived at Soldier’s Memorial Saturday morning with open arms in support of the iHeart Media St. Louis (formerly Clear Channel Radio St. Louis) 5th Annual Sista Strut 3K, presented by Majic 100.3 FM and Hallelujah 1600 AM. White was administered the oath of office to join the bench on the United States District Court’s Eastern District of Missouri in a lively, emotional investiture ceremony held Friday afternoon in the Thomas F. Eagleton U.S. Courthouse in downtown St. Louis. Gov. Jay Nixon announced Oct. 2 that North Campus in North St. Louis City has received $500,000 in federal funds from the state. 21st Ward Alderman – Antonio French Antonio French founded North Campus in 2012 to provide students with access to math and science tutoring and enrichment programs. Federal funding will give an additional 350 students in St. Louis city and county access to these services. North Campus currently serves 150 children through in-school and after-school programming.
