Bozeman, the president of the National Education Association at Parkway School District, became a teacher to make a difference in children’s lives, she said at Friday’s pro-union rally in Kiener Plaza in downtown St. Louis. “I wanted to become a member of the American middle class and achieve the American dream,” she

Scherese M. Bishop, a part-time emergency medical technician at the Northeast Ambulance and Fire Protection District, died on March 11, 2011, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. She was 37. On March 3, Bishop responded to a call for a man who had stopped breathing at the Sav-ALot in North Oaks Plaza Shopping Center in North St. Louis County. As Bishop and other Northeast personnel were resuscitating the patient, she collapsed and went into cardiac Scherese arrest. The cause of her M. Bishop death was not confirmed at press time.
