Brown School awards Halbert Sullivan Fathers’ Support Center founder is 2014 Distinguished Alum By Bridjes O’Neil Of The St. Louis American Halbert Sullivan, founding president and CEO of the Fathers’ Support Center (FSC), received the 2014 Distinguished Alumni Award from the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University on Wednesday, March 26. More than 300 people attended the awards ceremony and dinner held at the Palladium Saint Louis, 1400 Park Pl. in downtown St. Louis. Distinguished alumni and a faculty member from the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at WUSTL were recognized for their contributions to social work and public health.

Teachers, elected board question proposal for low-performing city schools A proposal to bring in nonprofits to run low-performing St. Louis city schools continued to draw criticism during a public hearing at Central Visual and Performing Arts High
