All admission fees are non-refundable. The application fee is payable at the submission of the application for a place at St. Julian’s. The Registration fee and the Capital Levy are payable upon acceptance of a place in School.

The Examination Fees are added onto the Spring Term (Term 2) invoices for all students in Years 11 and year 13 / As taxas referentes aos exames são faturadas juntamente com as propinas do 2º trimestre para os alunos inscritos nos anos 11 e 13.

A fresh fruit snack is offered to all students in the Primary Section and 1º ciclo, free of charge. Umlanchede frutafresca é fornecido (gratuitamente) a todos os alunos da Escola Primária e 1º Ciclo.

1.Tuitionfees
In 2026/27,TuitionFeeswillbeinvoicedthreetimesa year,inJune 2026,October 2026 andJanuary 2027,with paymentrequiredwithinthirtydaysoftheinvoicedate. This payment can be made by service payment (Entityand ReferenceorMBWAY), which is our preferred method of payment,bybanktransfer,directdebit,orcheque. Parents may request an annual invoice, which is settled in June 2026, upon which a discount of 1% will be granted. On request, parents may also choose to pay monthly,incurringtenmonthlyinstalmentsfromJuly to April. This option is only available if payment is made by direct debit. Contact the Finance Department at accounts@stjulians.cominordertoobtainadirectdebit paymentauthorisationform.
Payments not received within the terms of the invoice will be subject to an administrative charge of 7% of the outstandingpayments.Interestonlatepaymentsis applicable according to Portuguese Law.
Invoicesaresentbyemailtotheaddressheldonrecord. Parents are asked to inform the school of any changes or correctionstotheirinvoiceorcontactdetails.
Shouldparentsdecidenottore-enroltheirchildat St Julian’s School or if the child leaves the school during theacademicyear,anacademicterm’snoticemustbe giveninwritingbycompletingthe“LeavingForm” availableontheParentPortal,otherwiseparentswill bechargedforaterm’sfees.Ifstudentsaremovingto anotherinternationalschoolthatisamemberofthe CouncilofHeadsofEnglish-SpeakingSchools (CHESS), parents must also request a Letter of Financial ClearancefromtheFinanceDepartment.

Beforetheend of September 2026 bytheendofthe Spring Term2026–27
Parents are granted a discount of 15% of the Tuition Fees for the third child attending the school and 25% of the Tuition Fees for all additional children attending (simultaneously). The eldest of the attending children is considered the first enrollment from the family, and all childrenmustbeattendingschoolatthesametime.
Feescovermostoftheschooltripsarrangedaspartof thecurriculumbutnotinternationaltraveloroptional activities,whicharechargedseparately.
2.LearningSupport
St.Julian’smaychargeadditionalfeestocoverfor additionalresourcessuchasEnglishasanAdditional Language (EAL) or specific Learning Support Needs.
3.Lunches
The most cost-effective way for parents to requestschool lunchesisthroughourannualortermlylunchpass. We also offer a flexible approach to dining basedonatop-up system.Detailsofthelunchservicewillbeprovided separately.
4.PersonalAccidentInsurance
Personal accident insurance is included in tuition fees. ThecoveragerunsfromSeptembertoJune.
5.Examinationfees
External examinations take place in Year 11 (IGCSE), and Year 13 (IB Diploma Programme). These costs relate tofeesfromtheawardingbodiesandcoverallexpenses related to taking the IGCSE and IBDP qualifications. These arechargedintheSecondTerm,invoicesentinOctober. Re-markingofexamswillbechargedseparatelyandmust bepaidinadvance,atthetimeofrequest.Shouldthe remarking benefit the student, this cost will be refunded.
6.Pre-IBYear(Year11)
Thepreparationyearisopentostudentswhocomplete 9ºAnoorfromanequivalentstudyprogrammeandwish to enroll in the IB Programme. The fee for this year is the sameasforYear11.
7.FeesforYears12and13
ThefeesforYear12willbeinvoicedthreetimes a year, as mentioned above (point 1. Tuition fees), and the Year 13 fees will be invoiced in June 2026 and October 2026

As faturas das propinas de 2026-27 serão emitidas e janeiro 2027, cuja liquidação deverá ser realizada nos trinta dias seguintes à data de emissão da fatura. Os 2027

4.TaxasdeExames
Os exames externos são realizados nos Years 11 GCSE e 13 (Programa de Diploma IB). As despesas relativas a exames cobrem não só os custos às respectivas entidades como também os serviços administrativos e certificações inerentes. Os custos dos exames são incluídos nas faturasdo2ºtrimestreemoutubro.
Pedidosde revisãode prova são cobradosseparadamente e deverão ser pagos antecipadamente aquando do pedido.Casoanotafavoreçaoaluno,ovalorliquidado será reembolsado.
5.Ano11(Pre-IB)
Osalunosquecompletemo9ºAnoouoequivalente noutros programas de ensino poderão frequentar o ano de preparação para ingresso no programa IB. O valor da propina deste ano é igual ao do Year 11.
6.PropinasdoInternationalBaccalaureate Programadedoisanos
As propinas do ano 12 (supracitado no ponto 1 – Propinas) serão facturadas três vezes por ano e as propinas do ano 13 serão emitidas em Junho de 2026 e Outubro de 2026
7.ActividadesEscolares
Casoasatividadesescolarespresenciaissejam suspensas por decisão do Estado Português ou por decisão da Escola, por motivos sanitários, de segurança ou de proteção, o pagamento das propinas da Escola continuará a ser devido, desde que as atividades escolares sejam mantidas através de métodos de aprendizagem remota.
