PRESIDENT’S REPORT Fellow plumbers & professionals, I hope everyone has been enjoying the brisk weather we have been seeing. As we move further into the colder months, remember to keep trucks stocked with products to service heating, circulator pumps, thermostats, electronic controls, etc. Being prepared is the best way to limit downtime & costs and to sell additional service on jobs, no matter the season. A reminder to join us on the third Thursday of each month, 6pm-8:30 pm, from September to May for free! November's class was a great success and we saw a few familiar faces. Last month’s class was hosted by Resido/Honeywell & Venco Sales; an excellent instructor - Bob Bruno. He went over hydronic heating systems at the Bouer PHC office on Route 9 in Howell. Once again, a great thanks to Our VPs Vincent Tinervia & Mark Bleiweis for their effort and continued support with these classes. Our lobbyist, Sam Weinstein, along with the PPAG, Steve Rodzinak and Thomas Pitcherello are still diligently working to address concerns with our legislation regarding the water heater bill, mandating time windows for inspections (item no. 5130), and to establish an approved SLMP apprenticeship program. The paperwork process is in the works with the D.O.L. for the league approved apprenticeship program. Our state league is also putting forth great effort towards licence enforcement through-out the state.
