SALE TERMS
Air Travel: Dallas/Fort Worth Airport is approximately one hour from WHR Shorthorns.
Mailed Bids: Mailed or telephoned bids will be handled in a most confidential manner. If you are unable to attend the sale personally, simply contact a representative of the sale far enough in advance prior to sale day. They will be able to assist you at ringside on sale day.
Delivery: Every effort will be made by the sellers to assist you in the delivery of your purchases should you need assistance. This delivery will be made to central points at the most economical cost possible.
Terms And Conditions: Terms of the sale are cash or check payable to WHR Shorthorns. Settlement is to be made with the clerk immediately following the sale and before the cattle are removed from the premises. Purchasers or their representatives must sign the bill of sale prior to leaving the sale site.
Billed Accounts: All billed accounts are due within 10 days following the date of the sale. Registration And Transfer: All animals sell with completed pedigrees or applications for registration in the hands of the sale manager.
Liability: Each animal selling will be at the buyer’s risk as soon as sold, but will be cared for by the sellers for a reasonable amount of time. Neither the owners, employees, auctioneer, sale manager, or other affiliated personnel can be held responsible for any accidents, but will make every effort to provide for the safety and comfort of those attending.
Health: Each animal selling will have a state approved health certificate for interstate shipment. Buyers should make themselves aware of the health requirement for the respective states.
Breeding Guarantee: All cattle sell under the Standard Breeding Guarantee recommended by the American Shorthorn Association. An exception would be through mishandling either obesity or under nourishment and illegal practices associated with showing the female.
Flush Rights: WHR Shorthorns and the Lone Star Edition consignors reserve the right to one flush of eight or more grade 1 or 2 embryos at our expense on all females selling. Flush to take place at the convenience of the buyer at a location of their choice.
Semen Rights: WHR Shorthorns retains an in-herd semen use on all bulls selling in the Lone Star Edition Sale.
Genetic Conditions: Complete results on all genetic conditions should be done by sale day and will be provided on an added sheet.
Announcements made from the auction block take precedence over all printed material in this catalog.
Breeding Update/Calving Information: There will be added information available at the sale site that will list any additions to the catalog information as to new calves born and new breeding information that will occur after the printing of this catalog.

Based on Cumberland 5022, we are using Grayson on a number of cows naturally as well as utilizing him in our ET program.
