Registration & Reservation Policies

Program registration fees must be paid at the time of registration. Reservation fees must be paid within 10 business days from approval

When registering or reserving over the phone, you are officially agreeing to the liability and photo waivers. We reserve the right to cancel any programs if needed. Full refunds will be issued if a program is cancelled by the St Cloud Park & Recreation Department

Program cancellations made by the department will be sent via email to the email address listed on the account used to register Refunds will be made to the original payment method

Waiting lists will be started if programs fill Additional or expanded programs may be formed if possible. Our reservation cancellation policy is as follows: If a reservation is cancelled 30 or more calendar days before the event, the total fee will be refunded, minus a $16 00 Administrative Fee If a reservation is cancelled and fewer than 30 days remain before the event, only 50% of the total fee will be refunded, minus a $16 00 Administrative Fee Day-of-event cancellations due to severe weather only are subject to review by the Park and Recreation Director for any refunds. Please view pages 17 & 19 for FAQs and more information on park shelter and/or park event reservations

Financial Assistance

We want everyone to be able to come out and play! Financial Aid Grants are available to assist those who may have difficulty paying for Recreation programs. Aid is granted on a sliding scale determined by family size and family income (income must be verified by last year’s income tax form) Please submit the Financial Assistance Form, along with your tax form and a registration form for your selected activities

Sensory Kit Checkout

St Cloud Park & Recreation is excited to introduce sensory kit backpacks for checkout to children ages 3+ and adults, available for use while at Whitney Recreation Center and during department-sponsored events. Our goal is to ensure that all participants feel comfortable and can fully enjoy recreational activities in our community Visit the Whitney Recreation Center Front Desk or the Park & Recreation tent at an event to check out a sensory kit Kits are free and are available on a first-come, first-served basis You will be asked to provide your name, phone number, and a form of ID as a temporary hold while using the kit at our facility or event.

Youth Baseball Clinic (Ages 8-15)

Swing into summer ball with Augie Rodriguez, former head coach for the St Cloud Rox and current facility manager for MASH baseball! Augie and his staff specialize in teaching the fundamentals of baseball through extensive instruction Participants will be receiving high-level coaching skills, including hitting, fielding, and throwing. Whitney Park: New Ways to Play

We’re excited to share that the majority of the Whitney Sports Complex improvement project is now complete, bringing upgrades that enhance accessibility, safety, and the overall park experience The complex features 9 softball fields, 2 baseball fields, and 8 soccer fields, hosting leagues, tournaments, and community events year-round.

Looking for a place to play with your four-legged friend? Purchase a permit tag at City Hall for one of our three Off-Leash Pet Exercise Areas (Dog Parks) in St Cloud! Yearly permits are valid June 1 through May 31 and can be used at any of the City’s Dog Parks. Want to try it out first? Purchase a daily pass at the entrance to each OffLeash Area for $2. How to Reserve a Park Shelter

All Reservation requests must be submitted through our portal Please see the links to the right for availability and to make a reservation request. If reserving for an organization, you must create the CivicRec account as an “individual” account type instead of “organization ” Organization accounts will not allow you to reserve a facility or create a login to be able to pay for your rental once approved. Located on the corner of University Drive and Kilian Boulevard, visitors can explore over 20 acres of worldclass gardens, plant collections, and historic hardscape along the Mississippi River Open daily throughout the season from 6am-10pm; free admission. Please note dogs are not allowed in Munsinger & Clemens Gardens. Munsinger Gardens is a wonderful spot for hosting an intimate wedding ceremony, as well as a beautiful backdrop for your posed photography, from engagement or wedding photos to family and senior portraits

Ceremonies at the Special Events Area with up to 50 participants, as well as photography permits for both Gardens, are scheduled between late-May and midOctober between 4pm and 7pm on weekdays, between 10am and 7pm on Saturdays, and at 10am on Sundays Reservations are still available for 2026 and 2027

Can I practice or have a game on any open field in a City park?

No, any organized sporting activity, including practices or games, requires a field permit or rental through the Park & Recreation Department. This helps us manage field use fairly and keep our parks in great condition To reserve a field at Whitney Sports Complex, please contact Jorgen Erickson, Program Coordinator, at 320-650-3053 or via email. Can I reserve picnic tables in a City of St. Cloud park? Unless inside a reservable park shelter (Riverside, Wilson, and Lions Parks), all picnic tables in City of St. Cloud parks are first-come, first served.

Can I smoke or vape in a City of St. Cloud park?

Smoking, vaping, tobacco, and marijuana are prohibited in all City of St Cloud parks, in all public parking lots that are adjacent to city parks, and inside all motor vehicles located in any city park or adjacent public parking lot.

Can I have alcohol at my event?

Alcohol is prohibited in all City of St. Cloud parks, except as permitted below:

Riverside, Wilson, and Lions Parks: Beer or wine packaged only in its original glass-free container will be allowed. Keg beer is allowed at Wilson and Riverside when permitted by section 236:15, subd. 16. Keg beer is not allowed at Lions Park. Absolutely no hard liquor or glass

Whitney Park: Beer or wine may be consumed at Whitney Park if it was first purchased from the vendors located at that facility or when permitted by section 236:15. subd. 17.

Lake George: Alcoholic beverages may not be consumed, possessed in the Lake George Complex or anywhere on Eastman Park grounds except as pursuant to a temporary on-sale liquor license that has been granted pursuant to section 810:05.

Can I camp in a City of St. Cloud park?

Camping is prohibited in all City of St Cloud parks - this includes tents, shacks, or any other temporary shelter for the purpose of overnight camping.
