“Book in a Box” Family Challenge A creative, discussion-based activity that builds inference, analysis and vocabulary - without feeling like homework. Read 15–30 minutes together (or separately).
KS3 Recommendation
Choose 5 objects from around the house that symbolise: A character A theme A turning point A setting An important quotation Put them in a box. Prepare to explain your choices in 2–3 sentences each. Optional twist: Write one key quotation on the object. Include one “mystery object” and see if others can guess what it represents.
