National Numeracy Day 2026, founded by the charity National Numeracy, will be held on Wednesday, 20 May, focusing on building "number confidence" for adults and children to improve daily life, job prospects, and money management.

However you feel about maths and numbers, you're not alone Read and share the stories and experiences of different people in these Number Natters.

The National Numeracy Challenge lets you build your confidence with numbers and learn at your own pace. Start with a 10min check of your skills.

The Secrets of Mathematics is a series of talks and lectures from Oxford Mathematicians exploring the power and beauty of their subject. These talks would appeal to anyone interested in mathematics and its ever-growing range of applications from medicine to economics and beyond.

Breaking Math is a deep-dive science, technology, engineering, AI, and mathematics podcast that explores the world through the lens of logic, patterns, and critical thinking. Each episode of Breaking Math takes listeners on an intellectual journey whether it’s into the strange beauty of chaos theory, the ethical dilemmas of AI, the deep structures of biological evolution, or the thermodynamics of black holes.

On Wednesday 20th May at 9:15am, join TechWeCan Teacher, Anna, for a virtual 25 minute LIVE assembly You will explore where AI already appears in our everyday lives, how generative AI works, and how we can use AI responsibly. You will also learn how to spot the differences between humancreated and AI generated content an increasingly important skill for your future.

A drone pilot (UAV operator) remotely flies unmanned aircraft for commercial services like aerial photography, surveying, and inspections. They work in varied industries, often as freelancers, and must possess CAA training and certifications. Professional pilots plan flights, monitor equipment, and manage safety. 90% of adults in the UK agree that being able to use numbers is an important skill. Yet only 42% of adults scored highly for numerical competence, and a majority of UK adults overestimate their own ability to use numbers, with a gap of 17% between reported competence and actual competence.

Universities in Malaysia are a mix of 20 publicly funded and 50 private institutions offering internationally recognised courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

There are also 11 international universities with an overseas campus in Malaysia, including the following from the UK: Heriot-Watt University, Newcastle University (medicine), University of Nottingham, University of Reading and University of Southampton (engineering).

There are more than 2,600 undergraduate degree-level courses available in Malaysia. They typically take between three and five years to complete. You'll need to have A-levels or equivalent in order to gain a placealthough specific entry requirements vary by course and university
