PSHE
AUTUMN TERM 2025 I Group (Year 7)
PSHE with Lizzie
Adviser PSHE In the unit, Transition and Safety, I Group students learnt about study skills, how to manage the transition to secondary school and goal setting. They learnt about rail and road safety, helping them develop their independence and awareness. Lastly, they have had two First Aid lessons, learning how to respond in an emergency situation, how to complete a primary survey and put a casualty in the recovery position.
In the unit, Diversity, I Group began by reflecting on their own identity and what makes them who they are. We learnt what is meant by prejudice, stereotype and discrimination, and how to challenge these. We looked at friendships, how these change sometimes, and how to manage this. The students created beautiful zines to summarise their learning about Diversity, showing their thoughtfulness and creativity.
Next Term With their Advisers, I Group will learn about Financial Decision Making including budgeting, ethical consumerism, and safe economic decisions. With Lizzie, the unit is Health and Puberty which includes physical and emotional changes, menstrual wellbeing, healthy and unhealthy relationships. Please do let Lizzie know if you have any questions about this topic.
