MAJOR OFFICIALS NEWSLETTER EDITION FOUR | 26.03.25 Dear all, Welcome to the fourth edition of the Major Officials Newsletter. Last Thursday we held our second School Council Meeting as Major Officials, which was very successful, so thank you very much to all that attended and contributed. We discussed the ideas and motions raised in the School Council Meeting with Rich in Fishes Lunch on Monday, and have our Whole School Meeting next Monday, March 31st. Regarding EDI, we are keen on introducing cultural food as part of celebrating events, and we would like to continue exploring new cultures that we can celebrate at school. We are considering doing a Morning Talk on the origins of Easter and Jewish holidays in future. The Tuck Shop reopened last week, and we have decided that we will be open every little break, and by request, we are experimenting opening after school until around 16:10 on Thursdays, as an alternative to the recurring toast after school motion. In addition ,the pasta bar in the cafeteria will also have some new sauces instead of just tomato. The new Grab and Go system is being introduced in September. As for Be Green, new motion sensor lights have been ordered that will turn off when nobody is nearby, reducing our energy consumption as a school, whilst also reducing the expense of having lights on all the time! We are also interested in considering carbon offsetting the flights taken
