Food for Fines During Need to Feed Month As part of Need to Feed Month in St. Charles Parish, we will host a Food for Fines event in April. The organizers of Need to Feed Month hope to bring awareness to the need to donate food and supplies to our local food banks to help meet the need to feed people in St. Charles Parish. From April 1 - 30, each nonperishable food item donated will clear up to $1 of overdue fines or fees associated with lost or damaged materials.

April is Stress Awareness Month Stress Awareness Month has been held every April since 1992. During this annual observation, health care professionals and others interested making the world a less stressful place join forces to increase public awareness about the causes and cures for stress. We are doing our part at the library to help make your life a little less stressful! Every Monday evening at 6:00 at the West Regional Library, adults can attend Vinyasa Yoga with instructor Sara Lyon. In this class, you will learn how to move with breath, focus, and mindful meditation—all of which can help relieve stress. Adults, you can also “Color Your Stress Away” at the East Regional Library on Monday, April 29 at 6:00 pm. Coloring is a great way to relieve stress! Come for tea and coloring to ease some of your stress. All supplies will be provided, and there is no registration.
Friends of the Library Spring Book Sale The Friends of the St. Charles Library Spring Book Sale will be Friday, April 5 at the Book Nook, which is located next to the Hahnville Branch. Visit us to see what treasures you will find! 5

Narrated by Tim Allen, Back to the Moon for Good explores our nearest neighbor in space. You’ll also learn about past lunar missions.
One World, One Sky: Big Bird's Adventure introduces young children to the wonders of stargazing with Big Bird and Elmo.
In Earth, Moon & Sun, your children will join Coyote, a confused but witty character adapted from American Indian oral traditions.
Weather permitting, we will take out the telescope for a special viewing session after the show.
They will join Elmo and his friend from China, Hu Hu Zhu, on an imaginary trip to the Moon and learn how it differs from the Earth.
He explores common misconceptions about the Earth, Moon, and Sun system.

Easter Peep Houses Celebrate the Easter season at the library by making your very own Peep House! Are Peep Houses crafts or treats? They’re both—and they’re a lot of fun to make! There are two chances for you to bring your creativity to the library to make a Peep House with your family or friends.
