A-LEVEL & LEVEL 3
ACCESS TO LEVEL 3 A t least 4 or more GCSEs at grade 3 including a minimum of grade 3 in English Language and grade 3 in Maths
5 or more GCSEs at grade 4 – 9 including English Language Students must also have at minimum a grade 3 in Maths
F or GCSE Biology: a GCSE grade 3 in Biology or 3:3 in Combined Science One BTEC 'Pass' can replace one grade 3 School leavers only (16 year olds)
English Literature OR English Language (at grade 4 minimum) is accepted for some subjects. See column 4 below Applied qualifications (e.g. BTEC/OCR) must be a Merit grade or above and only one will count as a GCSE equivalent
