Plenty to celebrate for club Saturday was a truly magical day at Pakenham with the winter sun shining brightly over a wonderful celebration of sport, community and club spirit. The club honoured Head Coach Karen Meredith and A Grade and U17 Coach Matt Cooke for their incredible achievement of collectively coaching more than 500 games. More in Sport

Revamp progress Pakenham’s upgraded town centre is continuing to take shape, with Stage 2 works progressing in Drake Place and the Main Street Gateway precinct on track for completion in August. As part of Stage 2 of the Pakenham Revitalisation project, streetscape upgrades are being completed across the Drake Place precinct from the
Railway Hotel to John Street, with works currently underway on the eastern car park in Drake Place, near Silly Sollys. From Monday 3 August to mid-September 2026, the entire eastern car park on Drake Place will be closed, with a temporary detour and oneway traffic arrangement in place.
Recognising the importance of parking for local businesses and visitors, Cardinia Shire Council has changed its traffic arrangements during the upcoming works to keep some parking available. Originally, Drake Place was planned to remain open to two-way traffic during the eastern
car park upgrades and closure. To help reduce impacts on businesses, visitors and the wider precinct, one-way traffic will now be in place through Drake Place, allowing around 30 parking spaces to remain available throughout construction. Full story page 2
