Show fun By Margie Maccoll A few showers may have dampened the grounds but the 120th Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show was packed with action, laughter and live entertainment over three huge days from 12–14 June, at the Nambour Showgrounds. The show celebrates the region’s rich agricultural heritage, vibrant community spirit, and spectacular talent from woodchopping battles to show-jumping action, a petting zoo, working dogs, sheep shearing, a creative arts exhibition, delicious food stalls, Sunshine & Sons Show Saloon, fireworks, rides, showbags, lots of family fun and night-time entertainment. Queensland (SEQ) Liveability and Active Transport funds. Council staff acknowledged community feedback had been mixed with discussion “harshly negative” but recommended the project proceed with design modification in response to feedback. Their report recommended improved traffic

management on surrounding streets to improve vehicle safety and speed, widening of existing boardwalk through Lorikeet Park, the inclusion of speed management devices to control bike speeds, improvements to Victory Park and additional street tree planting. Continued page 2
