Rotters steal wood By MONIQUE KUZEFF FIREWOOD that is supposed to be free to the community during domestic firewood season is being sourced as produce for illegal commercial firewood businesses in areas including Beechworth, Yackandandah and Stanley. A Beechworth man was fined $10,000 for operating an illegal commercial firewood business. The man was convicted in Wodonga Magistrates Court last week, for a number of offences relating to the operation of the illegal business, after a raid was executed at his property last August. The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) officers uncovered more than 120 cubic metres of mixed species of native hardwood timber and forestry/firewood equipment during the raid. According to DELWP Senior Forests Investigator Greg Chant, the successful prosecution is a result of a statewide operation into the illegal removal of wood from State Forests. Mr Chant says a new operation, Operation Axe, will commence in April and will target other perpetrators who are involved in similar illegal activity. “The objective of Operation Axe is to target and prosecute persons found to be illegally removing firewood from Victoria’s public land for commercial gain, Mr Chant said. “This happens across the

state wherever there is public land and usually more during the cooler months where there becomes a supply and demand situation.“ Mr Chant said DELWP would investigate reports of suspected firewood suppliers and those who were found to be selling illegally would face harsh penalties and potentially lose their plant and equipment. “Where firewood has been removed, these resources aren’t available for people to collect for free and it undercuts suppliers who pay royalities and those who follow environmental principles where trees are marked and they have access. “This activity is making a profit from taking firewood that should be available free of charge to the community during the domestic firewood season. “Illegal tree logging is degrading environmental values by the unregulated clearing of forest ecosystems,“ Mr Chant said. “Felling of old dead stags is destroying habitats for both trees and animals. “We consider illegal logging as a serious offence and Operation Axe is an intelligence-driven and riskbased operation that aims to prevent this activity from happening. Mr Chant encouraged the public to provide DELWP with any information relating to the buying and selling of firewood illegally taken from public land. To supply information about suspicious and illegal activity, contact DELWP on 13 61 86.

Fresh footy, fresh star

ALBURY could not have had a better start to the fresh footy season, after taking a 25-9 159 to 11-10 76 victory over Lavington in the Ovens and Murray Football League senior competition on the weekend. Crowds flocked in for the Easter round with the Yarrawonga vs Rovers attracting the largest, and number 25 was the reason ... for full details, see Sport on page 16.

Carevan cashed up By MONIQUE KUZEFF THE Border’s not-for-profit Carevan has received a $22,000 donation from its major sponsor, The Commercial Club Albury, to help out with operational costs throughout the year. Founded by John Brabant, Carevan hit the street in May 2010 with the initial help of 150 volunteers. Today it receives the support of around 350 volunteers who help Mr Brabant continue the goal to aid people who are living below the poverty line. As an initiative that receives no government funding, it is difficult for Carevan to raise proceeds to help with its operation. “We’ve got to provide funds for rent for the depot, electricity and all those everyday running costs that we have to raise,” Mr Brabant said. “Unless we have support like this, we battle and so we depend on our big fundraisers to bring the money in.” Mr Brabant said the Commercial Club would help promote two major fund-raisers - the CEO Sleepout and the Community Challenge Fun Run - which are held every year. “The CEO Sleepout encourages employees to dob in their boss to sleep out in the cold, homeless for a night and the bosses can also nominate their employees,” Mr Brabant said. “The 5km and 10km Community Challenge Fun Run is a chance to show you care about poverty and the fight to help those in need.” This year, the CEO Sleepout will be held on 3 August and the Community Challenge Fun Run will be held on 25 September. Commercial Club president Graeme Edgar said the board had decided that a $22,000 injection into such a worthy initiative was a brilliant idea. “Carevan came to us and they knew

Woman, 80, killed in car crash A CAR crash at the intersection of Baranduda Drive and Kiewa Valley Highway has resulted in the death of an 80-year-old woman. The Mercedes Benz, in which the elderly woman was a passenger, crashed into a Holden Commodore at the intersection on Monday.

The 24-year-old driver of the Commodore collided with the other car after exiting Baranduda Drive. After emergency services performed CPR on the woman, she was rushed to Albury Hospital and put in the intensive care unit where she died on Wednesday.

All go for Junction Place By MONIQUE KUZEFF THE undeveloped land between High and Smythe streets at Junction Place is now set to see the eventual construction of residential homes, a cinema, a hotel, offices, shops and services and a new market hall with an estimated $200 million investment over the next 12 years. The decision for the final stages of the Junction Place development came after a thorough assessment of the longawaited revitalisation of central Wodonga. Places Victoria and local contractor Central Place Pty Ltd have signed a development agreement, marking the end of a tender process that began last year. Places Victoria General Manager Precincts Simon Wilson said he was excited about the proposal and believed the cinema complex and new retail stores would bring some new entertainment to the CBD. “The apartments will allow people to live in the heart of town and another hotel in central Wodonga will be great for locals and visitors alike,” Mr Wilson said. “I am confident this proposal will ensure Junction Place continues to develop into a diverse precinct offering opportunities for people to live, work and play in the heart of Wodonga." The new proposal encompasses the combination of residential homes and retail shops to line South and Smythe Streets with a cinema complex and conference centre beautifying the corner of Smythe Street and Elgin Boulevard.

Junction Place: Corner Smythe Street and Elgin Boulevard. 152062 Picture: MONIQUE KUZEFF Offices will front High Street and a hotel and retail complex will be built on Elgin Boulevard. Central Place Pty Ltd director Clinton Williams said a lot of thought and consideration went into putting together the Junction Place proposals over the last two years. “We have taken a lot of time over the past two years in putting together a proposed development mix that aims to meet the community needs and is economically viable." Additional car parks, road connections and a market hall next to the Goods Shed was also considered in the proposal, with the new developments to be completed in stages.

Wodonga Mayor Anna Speedie also welcomed the proposal, saying it represented a “significant investment in our city”. “We believe this proposal will be well-received, covering several things our community has been saying they want for our city,” Ms Speedie said. “Our community told us they wanted a vibrant city heart and this development adds to the work the council is doing and the investment from all levels of government as well as the private sector in our CBA.” Construction is expected to begin later this year, after a planning permit application has been approved by Wodonga Council.

Better health ALBURY Wodonga Health (AWH) had undergone an organisational-wide survey against the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) National Safety and Quality Healthcare Standards late last year. The survey benchmarked AWH against 15 National Standards, including governance, medication safety and infection control; and the mental health equivelant through various criteria. AWH received four 'met with merits’, three for blood and blood products, and one for vol-

unteer recruitment and support, and was awarded a four-year accrediation to January 2020. Health service CEO Dr Christine Dennis noted that Albury Wodonga Health had performed excellently in all 15 standards and in all the mental health standards, and that was a credit to the staff. She also applauded the community for its involvement in identifying the fantastic work that the volunteers did in the organisation. Throughout the survey the survey team provided feedback and suggestions for im-

provement, but were overally impressed with the health service’s systems and commitment to 'safe, reliable, responsive patient care’. The service’s acting CEO Catherine O’Connell said the accrediation received was a reflection of the staff’s commitment to safety and quality for patients. “Going forward, we will be concentrating on embedding the standards into everyday practice, in line with our strategic commitment to continuous improvement,” Ms O’Connell said.

Get your fix at Repair Cafe By MONIQUE KUZEFF IF YOU have something that is broken and no longer usable, come by the Repair Cafe Albury-Wodonga so they can help you fix it! Repair Cafe is a not-for-profit initiative, consisting of a group of talented electricians, carpenters and fabric repairers who come together to repair the beloved items of the Border community. The initiative is supported by Halve Waste and was established by a group of people who aimed to set up a cafe where all items, both big and small, could be repaired free of charge. From electrical appliances and furniture to clothes, crockery and toys, there is almost nothing this group of people cannot fix. The group's intention was to trial four Repair Cafe sessions in AlburyWodonga to determine community interest in this left-field initiative. While three of the session have already been held, the final one will be on 30 April at the Senior Citizens’ Club on Havelock Street, Wodonga from 10am to 1pm. Repair Cafe co-ordinator Lizette Salmon said previous sessions had brought in some diverse objects. “We’ve had everything from a 100-year-old pair of garden shears that hadn’t been sharpened for 40 years through to a stained glass window with a small crack,” Ms Salmon said. “Our success rate with textiles has been very high, especially clothing, but also things like cloth bags and sheets. “Battery-operated appliances have been a bit more challenging, but one woman got three faulty torches fixed and other successes have included clocks, scales, de-pillers and timers.” Wodonga resident and repeat Repair Cafe visitor Pete Haynes brought

along a bike with multiple mechanical problems and two remote-controlled toys and found the experience very useful. “I learned a lot about maintaining and repairing my bike and am more motivated to do it myself in the future,” Mr Haynes said. “It was a really useful experience with lots of friendly people and it didn’t cost me anything.” Another Border resident Sarah Spiteri said she had a beautiful dress and and a soft toy that needed repairing and found that Repair Cafe offered her a solution. “I had no idea even where to begin looking for a repairer, when I spotted a notice about the Repair Cafe in our school newsletter,” Ms Spiteri said. “The soft toy belonged to my son, who is currently studying in the UK and I really wanted to get it fixed before he came home.” Ms Salmon encouraged the community to bring along broken items to the final repair session on 30 April, free of charge. AWAR president Terri Westblade with Nugget. 152037 these animal rescue names out there on something that’s so often referred to. Ms Westblade said she was impressed with the decision by Sensis to put PetRescue on the front page, saying that often it is the national charitable organisations that are chosen. “PetRescue is a bit left of field and something I never really imagined them (Sensis) doing. “To have someone like them help promote the importance of responsible pet ownership makes us feel extremely lucky, “And it obviously means we are doing a good job in this area for PetRescue to choose us out

of all the groups. We are absolutely honoured. Sensis spokesman Stephen Harvy said the Yellow Pages and White Pages books remain one of the most powerful marketing tools for Australian businesses. “It is a staple of community connectivity, and provides locals with the ease and convenience of finding everything they could possibly need within one simple place. “We are only too happy to lend a hand to PetRescue and provide them with the heightened awareness that our significant reach provides.

THE Border's very own animal rescue advocate Terri Westblade, president of Albury Wodonga Animal Rescue (AWAR), has been featured on the Albury, Wodonga and Corowa Yellow Pages and White Pages this year in support of the national animal welfare charity PetRescue. The Albury cobound book was delivered to doorsteps throughout the region on 12 March and addresses residents with a cute and colourful image of Ms Westblade and her four-legged friend Nugget, an American Staffordshire Terrier. The first page delivers information on the work of PetRescue and how to find your “new best friend at PetRescue. Ms Westblade said Albury Wodonga Animal Rescue worked closely with PetRescue in the local area to re-home some of their dogs. “Having worked closely with PetRescue they recommended us (AWAR) for the 2016 Albury and Corowa area Yellow and White Pages, Ms Westblade said. “Initially, I thought it was a joke because I never thought we’d get an opportunity to be in every single household in Albury, Wodonga and surrounding areas for the next 12 months. “It was incredible to receive the opportunity to get both

Music gateway to praise By MONIQUE KUZEFF GATEWAY Life Church held a full-house on the weekend in celebrating Easter and the life and crucifixion of Jesus. A live band, Gateway Music, provided the crowd with inspirational music leading it in worship and songs. Pastor Jason Mannering delivered a compelling gospel media presentation. “A lot of people know about Easter but not the meaning of it,

so we wanted to communicate a message that everyone could comprehend and be inspired by in its simplest form,” Mr Mannering said. “We brought a message of life and hope that there is greater things yet to come. “Jesus’s life did not end on the cross and your life won’t end with the cross you bear now.” The Children’s Ministry held a kids’ church upstairs

where they learned about the Easter message and afterwards enjoyed an Easter egg hunt. A big basket of Cadbury Easter eggs and was handed out and sweets and savouries, along with coffee and tea, was served. Mr Mannering extended a personal invitation to those who would like to come and visit Gateway Life Church in the future or to visit www.gatewaylifechurch.org.au for further information.

Best time of the year to ride For the first time HELLO everyone, I hope you had a safe and happy Easter and managed to fit in some motorcycle riding. Now that we are heading into my favourite time of year for motorcycle riding there never seems to be a spare moment with so much on in every sector of motorcycling. Locally the Victorian Northern region motocross championship has kicked off at Cobram after Albury’s new upgraded track wasn’t ready due to lack of rain to settle the earthworks. Touratech also ran their adventure challenge event at Bright which was a great event, based on a similar format to an event run in Germany by Touratech it focuses on rider skill and bike control, not speed. With most major manufacturers present and conducting test rides and an added bonus with Yamaha having the 60th anniversary truck on display, it was

a fantastic event. I was assisting Triumph there on Saturday which was very exciting as they had most of the new Bonneville models on display and many available for test rides. I must say I am very impressed with the new Street twin and T120 and was fortunate enough to ride both. Triumph has certainly nailed the brief with both bikes looking and feeling classic, while achieving a major improvement in performance and safety. They also had a Thruxton R on display, although sadly we were not allowed to ride this bike yet. It is definitely one of the best-looking bikes I have seen produced in a long time. Still more exciting new models have arrived in the Yamaha shop as well with the release of the new MT03 naked Learner approved bike and the very exciting all new XSR900 which uses Yamaha’s punchy three-cylinder motor

and DNA from Yamahas of old to build a retro-style bike that certainly tugs at my heartstrings. We are fortunate to have also just landed a hard to get 60th anniversary YZF-R1 on the floor for anyone who would like a peek. Kawasaki has just announced that they will be bringing the Z125 pro to Australia. For anyone who has been to Thailand and seen these bikes being ridden around, it will excite you. A sporty looking naked bike that is bound to become a cult classic, we should see them arriving around May. I personally can’t wait. Moto GP has also kicked off with the exciting race run at Losail international circuit at Qatar. With new tyres and electrics on the moto GP bikes this year it promises to be a unpredictable and exciting year. Until next month, safe and enjoyable riding everyone.

YOU will never forget that first ride. After hours of anticipation, much preparation, familiarisation with what seemed like hundreds of controls and some ’uncertainty’ (read: self-doubt), you suddenly found yourself straddling a motorcycle with its engine running, about to shift into first gear for the first time. No matter how big or small the engine is, and no matter how well prepared you are from a theory of operation and the wearing of protective apparel points of view, you KNOW something could go wrong and you wonder if you are making the biggest mistake of your life. It’s time. You, once again, ensure that both the front brake and clutch levers are being held firmly, and probably even confirm (for the fifth time) that the green neutral light is still on. A little more timidly than you expect, you press the gear shift lever down into first gear.

CLUNK! Your heart misses a beat and your adrenaline level climbs. ’Something’ was anticipated by you, but the ’clunk’ is not ’exactly’ what you expected. Once again you check that your hands are holding those levers securely. WAIT! I want you to REALLY understand the importance of that last check of the levers. Your engine is running, your bike is in first gear, but because both levers are being utilised YOU ARE NOT IN TROUBLE! The front brake lever is ensuring that you are stopped, no matter what the condition of the clutch and engine, and your clutch is ensuring that you are not applying power to the rear wheel, no matter what the speed of your engine is or the status of your brakes. No matter what, if you get into trouble you can get out of it by simply squeezing both levers!

New vet is here to stay By MONIQUE KUZEFF

Kubota Kommander Z122R zero turn over mower.

Large lawns in a flash By MONIQUE KUZEFF For the safe delivery of your larger animals, call the experienced team at Walwa Veterinary Practice. 143400 PIcture: CONTRIBUTED “I love the place; it’s fairly here as well. Dr Burton plans on staying unique as I’m allowed to do at Walwa Vet Practice for quite more individual cattle work a while. As a graduate he said rather than crowd work. “Walwa is so beautiful with he had been led in gently and another vet was teaching him heaps of work to do - I was very new things while he was still lucky to get a position here. fresh into the work and learn“We’ve got pretty clever veting. erinarians here - and I will have “I’ll be here for at least for someone supervising me over four to five years, I have no plans the next 12 months and then I’ll start to get more responsibility.” to get out of here,” he said.

WITH the residential user in mind, Kubota has churned out an all-new Kommander Z122R zero turn over mower that is able to manoeuvre easily both in and out of tight spaces without compromise to power. This innovative mower is powered by a high performing Kawasaki engine and offers stability, accessible controls, low centre of gravity and plenty of legroom upfront in a wide foot pan for its users' convenience and comfort.

It’s rugged, low-maintenance and integrated transmission design delivers outstanding power and operational efficiency to the wheels and mower deck and the dual operation levers provide precise control for perfect trimming and work around those intricate spaces including trees and flowerbeds. With just a simple twist of a dial, the Kommander Z122R zero turn over allows the user to adjust the cutting height in precise quarter-inch increments. Users will be able to pump out work all day, with optional

LED headlights which allow them to continue mowing in low light conditions. In order to help protect lawn, the Kommander Z122R zero turn over also has large Ultracaper Z rear tyres providing a softer ride, better traction and weight distribution. So, if that old mower has had its run and you seeking a good quality, hard working and reliable mower to take its place, Kommander Z122R zero turn over is the next mower for the job. 1217716-KK13-16

WALWA Vet Practice welcomed a new graduate veterinarian Dr Rory Burton to the practice this year. Dr Burton, originally from Orange, NSW, graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Melbourne University in December. Dr Burton said he had always planned to get in to rural practice so he could work closely with cattle, which is his major interest. “I have always been interested in cattle and my lecturers and mentors told me I should go in to a dairy practice to progress my skills with individual cows. “I wanted to be able to compare the differences between that and cattle work and that’s why I spent some weeks working with dairy cows down south before coming here.” Dr Burton did 20 weeks of placement in his final year at university and part of that was rural placement. He said he enjoyed being able to work outside and travel to various jobs to look at different animals. “At Walwa Veterinary Practice, you get to do different jobs with cattle but also there is a fair bit of horse work we do

And now for the super ho-hum: Batman v zzzz... DARK, brooding and full of special effects, I could be describing the past three Batman movies - instead it’s the latest instalment, the cross-over Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice or the movie they use to set the scene for the Justice League. BvS pits the man of steel against the dark bat crusader of Gotham City. Fearing the actions of a god-like superhero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day saviour, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. With Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before. Well that’s the premise. What we get is something a little less satisfying. While the past Batman movies

have been gritty and interesting, this just comes off as a mish-mash that director Zack Snyder has thrown every conceivable trick at and hoped it would work. And it does, for the most part, though it could have benefitted from tighter editing and a few less effects and a bit more story. However, for a movie like this truly to succeed it relies not on the good guys (and despite the teeth gnashing that went on when he was announced, Ben Affleck is actually rather perfect as Batman) - no, it has a strong bad guy. Here is where this movie falls down. Jesse Eisenberg is absolutely perfect as the Riddler, inspired casting really, it’s just a shame he’s actually playing Lex Luther. Sure he is unhinged and unstable but he comes off more whiney than anything else - a little boy who is playing with his superhero action figures and who will pout and cry if he doesn’t get his own way. Nowhere more do you see this than in what should

be a pivotal moment with Lois Lane (Amy Adams) he should be terrifying and yet I’d back Lois every time against this milk sop. Actually it’s minor characters that shine. Adams is once again brilliant as Lane and Jeremy Irons pretty much steals the show as the best, most sassy Alfred in franchise History (can we have an Alfred movie instead of Justice League and the plethora of other sequels this movie is about to spawn?) Snyder could have benefited from watching Captain America Winter Soldier before he made this movie if he wanted to see how to make an interesting thriller-superhero flick. Though maybe he did as Winter Soldier’s (and Guardians Of the Galaxy) Callan Mulvey turns up as a thug in this one (it’s a long way from Home and Away but not that far from Underbelly). All in all this is a fairly standard superhero movie - it doesn’t do more than what it says on the box, it doesn’t move the genre further, it doesn’t break new ground. - Tania Phillips

Health services on call ELMWOOD’S pathology port-of-call is currently undergoing a facelift with the rebranding of its name and logo. Formerly known as Healthscope, it is now recognised as Australian Clinical Labs. Australian Clinical Labs plays a part in making Elmwood one of the best housing developments in the state. This tenth part of a 12-part series covers another great service that is available and accessible to Elmwood residents and the wider community. Partnered with Elmwood Medical Centre, Australian Clinical Labs offers comprehensive diagnostic facilities to serve the needs of the community. With friendly qualified pathology professionals who ensure the accuracy of pathology collection and laboratory testing, Australian Clinical Labs delivers the highest quality of services to doctors and patients. Australian Clinical Labs business development manager Cheryl DeDonato said the new name was selected to demonstrate the integrity of the health service and its focus on the Australian market. “We have kept the colour orange as it is well known by our referrers and patients and pays tribute to our heritage,” Ms DeDonato said. “We are proud of our expertise and service provided by our professional staff and laboratories. “We operate a national integrated lab-

oratory and support general practitioners and medical specialists in private and public sectors for patients in both metro and regional areas.” Australian Clinical Labs encompasses a range of pathology services including microbiology, haematology, immunology, histopathology, cytology, dermatopathology and molecular and chemical pathology. Ms DeDonato said the non-invasive pre-natal test Harmony is also available at all collection centres. Harmony was previously sent to the U.S. for testing but is now tested in Melbourne and we are one of the most affordable on the current market. Australian Clinical Labs collection centre services include all pathology tests and specialised testing such as ECG, blood pressure monitoring and Holter monitors. “We are situated at the rear of Elmwood Medical Centre and an appointment is not necessary because Australian Clinical Labs accepts all referrals,” Ms DeDonato said. “There’s easy parking and our staff are professional, qualified, friendly and happy to assist with any queries. “Our quality performances and result turn around comes where the industry is needed.” Australian Clinical Labs is currently open Monday to Friday from 8am to 1pm.

Albury Wodonga’s Property Guide

Compact and cute THIS lovely three-bedroom home was refurbished in late 2015 and is in the sought-after Norris Park Estate where it enjoys the outlook to a greenbelt area. With plenty of natural light, new floor tiles, new carpet, and new curtains it also feels great inside. The master bedroom has large built-in robes and access to the two-way bathroom.

Bedroom two has built-in robes, while the third could be used as a study or children’s bedroom. Living space includes a lounge, dining room, and long undercover barbecue area accessed by sliding doors. Gas heating and ducted evaporative cooling will keep you comfy all year round. The kitchen looks onto the back garden and includes plenty of

cupboards, a gas cooker, and dishwasher. This is a lovely compact house on a small block at the end of a cul-de-sac. This means you can enjoy the convenience of a unit-size home but without sharing a driveway or land with another property. Nearby are parks, bus stops, a childcare centre, school, and shops.

MORE than 180 runners took advantage of the beautiful Easter weekend weather to take part in Saturday’s Albury Wodonga parkrun. The 5km run against the clock is held at 8am each Saturday at the Hovell Tree Park, Wodonga Place, Albury. They said many visitors took advantage of the event this week with 47 first-timers registering and running.

Crowd flocks to see ‘The Fev’ ALBURY showed the world why they are the favourites to win the flag in Round 1 of this year’s Ovens and Murray Football League senior competition with a 25.9(159) to 11.10(76) victory over Lavington at the weekend, but there is a long way to go. They were absolutely awesome and surely the Panthers would attest to that. Crowds were great for the Easter round with the Yarrawonga v Rovers attracting the largest and one would not be out of place in saying that their player No.25 was the reason . They came to watch 'The Fev' and he didn’t disappoint them either during or after the game. What a revelation Brendan Fevola has been for O & M football and in particular the Yarrawonga Football Netball Club. When will we see at first hand another with the drawing power? Round 2 opens with the Wodon-

Coming off an eight day break will be of enormous value as they will not only have that extra time to recover from the physical and mental bruising they incurred last week. Mannagh contributed to North’s scoreline last week with seven. Lavington will get the chocolates with a degree of ease at Bunton Park playing a physically tough brand of football. Wangaratta Magpies can feel justifiably proud of their five goal victory over the highly fancied Wodonga Raiders but the honeymoon is over as they face the might of the Tigers after they unveil another premiership flag in front of the Tiger Army. With a galaxy of genuine stars both new and returned will be clinical in the disposing of the Magpies. Worth going to see just how good the Tigers of 2016 are! The final game is a bit of a teaser. Raiders can’t play as bad as they

ga Bulldogs - who were comprehensively beaten by Myrtleford - facing up to Corowa Rutherglen. The Dogs should open their account against a youthful Combine. Matt Seiter, in good form in Round 1, will contribute to the Dogs first taste of success in 2016. Complacency will be the greatest danger to a boil over. Myrtleford will make the trip along the Ovens Highway to Bill Finlay City oval for their clash with the Wang Rovers who will be recovering from their loss to the Pigeons. Youth got them through against Wodonga on Easter Sunday and should do the same again to go two/ zip and retain a place in the top five. North Albury recorded a 100-point win over the young Kangaroos last weekend but it will be all hands on deck if they are to challenge the shell-shocked Lavington who challenged till the long break last weekend before the steamroller arrived.
