As we celebrate Father's Day, we give thanks to God for the gift of fathers and for the many men who reflect the loving heart of our Heavenly Father.
Fatherhood is much more than a biological relationship. At its core, being a father means accepting the responsibility to love, protect, guide, teach, and sacrifice for the good of another. A father helps his children discover who they are and who God calls them to be. Through words and actions, he teaches integrity, faith, perseverance, and compassion. While no father fulfills this calling perfectly, the vocation of fatherhood invites men to imitate the faithful love that God has for each of His children.
In Scripture, we see examples of fatherly care and leadership, perhaps most beautifully in St. Joseph. Though he was not the biological father of Jesus, Joseph embraced the role entrusted to him by God. He protected, provided for, and guided the Holy Family with humility and courage. His example
Grandfathers, uncles, godfathers, teachers, coaches, mentors, priests, deacons, and religious brothers often serve as father figures. They offer encouragement, wisdom, discipline, and support. They stand beside young people during important moments and quietly help shape the people they become.
Our parish is blessed by men who embody this spiritual fatherhood. Whether they are leading ministries, teaching the faith, volunteering with youth, caring for family members, or simply offering a listening ear, they demonstrate the strength and generosity that fatherhood requires. Their witness reminds us that every man is called to use his gifts to nurture and support those entrusted to his care.
On this Father's Day, we honor all fathers, grandfathers, and father figures. We pray for those actively raising children, for those whose children are grown, for those who have lost children, and for those who long to be fathers. We also remember with gratitude the men who have gone before us and whose love and example continue to shape our lives.
May St. Joseph intercede for all men, helping them to lead with courage, serve with humility, and love with the generous heart of Christ.
For June we’ve highlighted books on some basics of our Catholic Faith, including the Most Holy Trinity and Corpus Christi. You’ll also find books about why it’s great to be Catholic, and Catholic Traditions from our Parish Library!

The Waukesha Chapter of Wisconsin Right to Life will be hosting an information booth at the Waukesha County Fair, Wednesday, July 15 through Sunday, July 19. Our Respect Life Committee is looking for volunteers to work in pairs at the booth for three-hour shifts. To help, please contact Phil Heinle at qualityheinle@gmail.com.
In October we will be running the "Baby Bottle" campaign. There will be baby bottles in the Gathering Space to take home and collect monetary donations for Life's Connection.

The Young at Heart committee is planning an afternoon on Lake Geneva Tuesday, August 18 for all ages. The event includes roundtrip transportation from the parish to Lake Geneva, a two-hour and fifteen-minute “Best of the Lake” boat ride, and a full lunch. The cost is $100 per person. The itinerary:
• 9:15 am - Bus Departs St. Anthony on the Lake
• 11:15 am to 1:45 pm - Boat Ride and Lunch
• 3:30 pm - Depart Lake Geneva
• 4:30 pm - Bus Arrives at St. Anthony on the Lake

A friend of the parish who has a second home on Pewaukee Lake has decided to part ways with their 22-foot McGregor sailboat. If not up there in years,” they would be sailing it themselves. They are offering the boat to an interested parishioner in exchange for a donation to St. Anthony on the Lake.
Thank you to the Human Concerns Committee, Lifelong Faith Formation Committee, Stewardship Committee, and Prayer and Worship Committee for representing our parish and showcasing the many ways these ministries help us grow in faith and serve one another.
