In the Gospel, Jesus reminds us that we are the salt of the earth and the light of the world; gifts not meant to be hidden but shared for the good of others and the glory of God. Each of us has been entrusted with unique talents, experiences, and passions, given not for ourselves alone, but for the building up of the Kingdom.
Stewardship flows naturally from this truth. To be good stewards is to recognize that everything we have is a gift from God and to prayerfully ask how those gifts are meant to be used. When we offer our prayers, time, and gifts in service, our faith becomes visible, and the light of Christ shines more brightly through our parish community.
A group of parishioners and parish staff is prayerfully working to help ensure that our parish remains a thriving faith community. Their focus is on creating opportunities for all of us to discover our gifts, grow in confidence, and be empowered to share those gifts through leadership and ministry in service to others.
As a parish, we invite all members to take time to listen and discern where God may be calling them at this moment in their lives. This invitation is not about obligation or filling roles, but about creating space to hear God’s voice and respond with trust and generosity.
To support you this process, we invite you to “Open the Door to the Call ,” a morning of reflection from 8:00 am to noon on March 14 . This gathering is designed to help you prayerfully consider whether God may be calling you into parish leadership or ministry, and how your gifts might be shared for the good of the community.
We encourage you to pray with this invitation. Ask God where you can be salt and light and join us on March 14! While reading this, if someone else came to mind, someone whose light you see shining, please encourage them to attend as well.
Let us continue to pray for our parish community and for all those who generously share their gifts, so that together we may remain a thriving faith community for years to come.

St. Anthony on the Lake is a warm, welcoming place. Help newcomers, guests, and our parish family feel welcome as they enter church by becoming a greeter. It’s not hard; all you need is a friendly smile and a willingness to help.
In addition to providing a warm welcome, greeters show people where they can hang coats, find the elevator, and locate the restrooms. You don’t need to sign up for a specific day, Mass time, or join a group. Just come 15 to 20 minutes early, grab a greeter badge, station yourself at the front doors, put a smile on your face, and welcome parishioners and guests. This is a wonderful opportunity for couples and families to serve together! If you have any other questions contact the Music and Liturgy Office.

The weeks after our Christmas break have been busy in Physical Education classes at St. Anthony’s! Here is a brief recap of how we were exploring/revisiting different ways to move.
3K explored the A, B, C’s of movement. Recognizing the letters of the alphabet while also finding ways to move kept us busy. We worked on the skill of underhand throwing this month which is an important concept for sure.
Grades 4K -2 participated in one of the favorite units of the year, learning to jump rope while also working hard to earn their Jump Rope Ninja Belts! We moved on to the skills of throwing overhand and underhand while also revisiting the skill of catching.
Grades 3 -5 also participated in a jump rope unit as well as earning their Jump Rope Ninja Belts. Students who earned black belt status were recognized with a certificate. These were the number of consecutive jumps they needed to make: Grade 3 - 125; Grade 4 - 175; and Grade 5 - 250. We moved on to an invasion games unit where the basic offensive/defensive concepts involved in many invasion-type games were discussed and implemented in small -sided games. The end of the month brought the second cooperative activities unit.
Grades 6 -8 started out playing a game that came to us from Quebec, Canada called Kin -Ball. It is a highly cooperative, aerobic game that is the only game played by three teams at the same time! Next, we moved into a badminton unit. These classes participate in tournaments during most units, utilizing the concepts of these games as well as the skill sets.
