Throughout the year, we supported our five Partners in Mercy as well as several local ministries. Here is a snapshot of how our parish lived out its call to care for our sisters and brothers:
Family Promise
Parishioners prepared and served meals for apartment residents, donated items through the Partners in Mercy Family Promise bin, and supported their annual golf outing.
People’s Table (formerly Jim Luther New Hope Center)
Volunteers served weekly at the food pantry, bagging and distributing groceries, and parishioners donated personal hygiene items.
MacCanon Brown Homeless Sanctuary
Volunteers delivered donations, served meals through their meal programs, and provided clothing. Proceeds from the Lenten Sketches Choir Cantata supported lead testing for children in the 53206 zip code, Milwaukee’s poorest ZIP code.
SantÌsimo Sacramento (Our Sister Parish in Peru) Support was provided through the Family -to-Family program and many other areas of need.
St. Vincent de Paul Parishioners donated food and served at Crossroads Kitchen, prepared and delivered lunches to La Casa, and supported several initiatives including the Back -to-School Backpack Program in July and Bundle Sunday in September, when a St. Vincent de Paul truck collected household donations in our parking lot.
Additional ministries supported include Catholic Relief Services, Earth Ministry’s Garden of Hope, the Giving Tree, Health Ministry, Hope Center, Lake Country Caring, Pewaukee Food Pantry, and Versiti Blood Center.
We have been truly blessed by the many volunteers and parishioners who supported Human Concerns through their generous donations and service. Thank you!
Our Faith in Action
Another important part of our ministry is promoting Catholic Social Teaching. As Fr. Tony reminds us, “The most important thing we can do is be informed.”
In that spirit, we are offering an opportunity to learn more about the complex and challenging topic of immigration on Wednesday, February 4, at 6:30 pm here at the parish. Our speaker, Darryl Morin, has worked closely with immigrants and with leaders from both political parties on immigration reform. He will help
us, as Deacon Larry recently said in his homily, to “recognize our limited perspective” and “seek God’s perspective.”
Earlier this year, we also hosted Derek Mosley, who shared fascinating stories of Black history with rich local insight. Visit our blog to learn more about both presentations.
We look forward to 2026 being another meaningful year for Human Concerns as we continue serving those in need.

INDIVIDUALS, COUPLES & FAMILIES NEEDED!
St. Anthony on the Lake is a warm, welcoming place. Help newcomers, guests, and our parish family feel welcome as they enter church by becoming a greeter. It’s not hard; all you need is a friendly smile and a willingness to help.
In addition to providing a warm welcome, greeters show people where they can hang coats, find the elevator, and locate the restrooms. You don’t need to sign up for a specific day, Mass time, or join a group. Just come 15 to 20 minutes early, grab a greeter badge, station yourself at the front doors, put a smile on your face, and welcome parishioners and guests. This is a wonderful opportunity for couples and families to serve together! If you have any other questions contact the Music and Liturgy Office.

The St. Anthony on the Lake School community is rooted in faith and committed to living Gospel values each day. Students are educated about God and encouraged to deepen their relationship with Him through daily prayer and worship. Weekly Mass, visits with Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration, classroom prayers, participation in the Stations of the Cross, religious instruction from Father Tony, and Rosary prayer help form the minds, hearts, and souls of our students, guiding them to commit to their faith and live as Christian disciples.
This past week, the fourth-grade participated in many special activities in celebration of Catholic Schools Week. Students demonstrated their faith and leadership by leading the schoolwide Rosary and the all-school Mass. They also celebrated the 100th
time, and shared fellowship with classmates during an allschool bingo game. The fourth-grade students put their faith into action by serving others during Catholic Schools Week. In the spirit of seeking the lost and caring for those in need, students made Valentine Day cards for the Hope Center, Family Promise, Lake Country Caring, MacCanon Brown, donated cereal boxes for the Jim Luther New Hope Center, and collected pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Through these acts of service, the students of St. Anthony on the Lake School live out their Catholic values and parish mission.
