FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

St. Anne’s School of Annapolis Reaches $2,000,000 Toward Trustee Endowment to Strengthen Future and Support Campus Expansion and Renovation

Annapolis, Maryland — March 5, 2026

St. Anne’s School of Annapolis proudly announces that it has raised $2,000,000 over the past fifteen months toward the establishment of a Trustee-restricted Endowment, a landmark initiative designed to ensure the School’s long-term financial sustainability while supporting strategic campus expansion and renovation plans.

This milestone represents a significant step in the School’s multi-phase campaign, Journey Forward Together, aligned with its 2023–28 Strategic Plan, Journey Forward. The campaign seeks to initially establish a $3,000,000 Trustee Endowment that will provide a stable and enduring financial foundation for generations of St. Anne’s School students.

A Legacy Rooted in Vision and Growth

Founded in 1957 as a Preschool and Kindergarten in Eastport and later in historic downtown Annapolis, St. Anne’s School began with a bold and heartfelt vision: to create a values-based educational community where children are known, nurtured, and inspired to grow—in both heart and mind.

Through the generosity of parents and community members, the School opened its current campus on Arundel on the Bay Road in 1994 and became incorporated as an independent day school. St. Anne’s School recently celebrated 30 years as an independent institution serving students two-years-old through eighth grade.

Today, St. Anne’s School enrolls more than 280 students from over 28 zip codes and is led by its fourth Head of School, Connie Coker. The School continues to honor its tradition while looking confidently toward the future.

The Trustee Endowment: A Foundation for the Future

The Trustee Endowment will establish a protected, long-term financial foundation to support the continued strength and growth of St. Anne’s School. Once fully funded at $3,000,000, the Endowment will generate annual returns to be directed by the Board of Trustees to advance strategic priorities, including faculty support, financial aid, program innovation, and campus improvements.

As a hallmark of institutional strength, the Endowment ensures lasting stability while positioning St. Anne’s School to innovate and thrive for generations to come.

Strategic Phases for Growth and Innovation

The Trustee Endowment initiative will unfold in three strategic phases:

Phase I: Achieve full funding of the $3,000,000 Trustee Endowment to establish long-term financial stability.

Phase II: Launch capital fundraising and break ground on a new early childhood Reggio Cottage, purpose-built for the School’s youngest learners and aligned with its Reggio-inspired philosophy.

Phase III: Establish the Reggio Cottage as a premier training center for early childhood educators while simultaneously renovating and enhancing the existing campus to elevate kindergarten through eighth grade programming.

“The Trustee Endowment reflects our confidence in the future of St. Anne’s School,” said Head of School Connie Coker. “This investment ensures that we can continue to innovate, grow, and deliver a transformative educational experience while remaining grounded in our mission and values.”

With $2,000,000 raised to date, St. Anne’s School invites community members and partners to join in completing Phase I and shaping the next chapter of its enduring legacy.
