Dear St. Anne’s School Community, With great enthusiasm, we launch the 2026-27 school year with purpose. Purpose is defined as a stable intention that is meaningful to self and consequential to the world. At St. Anne’s School, we not only nurture and challenge children during the most formative years of their lives, our extraordinary educators, in partnership with the greater community, prepare confident, compassionate lifelong-learners for lives of service, purpose, and impact. This is the beauty and power of St. Anne’s School, and it takes a fully committed community to bring our mission to life. Our theme for the 2026-27 school year, Leading With Purpose, reminds us that each of us is a leader and contributor in our community. Every student, teacher, staff member, parent, grandparent, alumnus/a, and community friend has a gift and purpose to offer which enriches the tapestry of our community. As we Grew in Gratitude last year, our community contributed time, treasure, and talent in meaningful ways: we surpassed our Constellation Fund goal at the earliest mark in the school year in the School’s history, including 100% faculty, staff, and board participation; we launched the School’s new Giving Societies with great engagement; we grew our mission-critical Equity in Education Scholarship; we surpassed our Paddle Raise goal to support and sustain teacher professional development efforts; and we surpassed the $2 million mark in the Trustee Endowment. An incredibly generous and successful year! The momentum continues with intention this year. This Community Guide serves to recognize the many ways our community members give back as well as an invitation for continued giving and involvement as we lead with purpose this school year.

history Founded in 1957, St. Anne’s School has grown from a small early childhood program at St. Luke’s Chapel in Eastport into a thriving independent Episcopal school serving students from Twos through Eighth Grade. Since becoming an incorporated independent school in 1994 and building its current campus in 1996, the School has continually evolved—expanding its programs, facilities, and academic offerings while remaining rooted in its founding mission to nurture the whole child through joyful learning, academic excellence, and a compassionate, inclusive community. Today, St. Anne’s School serves approximately 250 students from across the region, carrying forward a legacy that honors its Episcopal heritage while preparing students to thrive in an ever-changing world. 3.

The term “annual giving” encompasses ALL gifts to the School including Constellation Fund donations, in-kind donations, designated gifts, grants, special event revenue, sponsorships, and anything that contributes to the School’s overall fundraising efforts.

While your child is at St. Anne’s School, this translates into small class sizes with incredibly individualized instruction that build both character and academic excellence, as well as access to resources, technology, and joyful learning experiences that many other schools can’t offer. For the future, this means excellent academic credentials your child will possess throughout life from a well-respected academic institution, a supportive alumni network, and a lifetime of cherished memories and good experiences. Annual giving ensures a healthy operating budget, which in turn enables St. Anne’s School to attract and retain talented faculty and staff, provide financial aid assistance, fund unexpected expenses, and much more! 4.
2026-27 CONSTELLATION FUND GOAL: $315,000 Illuminating every student’s journey. Each year, the Constellation Fund plays a vital role in sustaining the vibrant academic and extracurricular programs that inspire our curious, capable, and compassionate learners. This annual fund contributes 5% of our operating budget, directly enhancing the student experience across all grade levels. As with all independent schools, tuition alone does not cover the full cost of a St. Anne’s School education. The generosity of our community—parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty, trustees, and friends—helps bridge that gap. Your support ensures that our students continue to belong, grow, and shine in a dynamic and enriched learning environment. Last year, our community raised an incredible $302,539 for the Constellation Fund, surpassing the 2025-26 goal of $300,000 earlier than ever before. This year, we look forward to building on that momentum—with your support.

Fall: Throughout November, we’ll host the Turkey Trot, not a run or race, but a fundraiser in support of the Constellation Fund with the goal of reaching 100% parent participation! You’ll receive an email appeal with more information, and a Constellation Fund Ambassador will also reach out to answer any questions you may have. Winter: To celebrate and conclude the Turkey Trot, we’ll host a community coffee giveaway on GivingTuesday in December. Then, at the end of January, everyone will lace up their shoes to participate in the Constellation Fun(d) Fitness Challenge. Spring: You’ll receive our end-of-the-school-year appeal for one last chance to make a gift (or a second one!) for the 2026–27 school year.

Large participation numbers in the Constellation Fund, especially among parents, faculty, and our Board, show confidence in the School, and can impact gifts from outside sources. Most foundations consider parent participation rates before donating funds to a school. Whether you give $5 or $500, each gift is important and helps St. Anne’s School achieve its goals!

what counts as constellation fund participation? Unrestricted gifts of cash or stock provide support for the School’s mission. These gifts are often made in response to an appeal or fundraising campaign, such as the Turkey Trot, and allow the School to direct resources where they can have the greatest impact.

The 3112 Society: We ask every family to consider a personally meaningful annual gift to the Constellation Fund. In that light, donors who give a minimum of $31 monthly over 12 months (or $372 annually) become a member of the 3112 Society. 3112 Society Members are invited to a celebration party and also receive a chrome shield magnet. The Star Society: Donors who choose to make a gift of $2,500+ to the Constellation Fund become part of the Star Society. We celebrate these philanthropic leaders at annual events in recognition of their outstanding support. The Star Society includes three giving circles:
While your support for the items listed below is both necessary and greatly appreciated, they do fall into a separate giving category from the Constellation Fund: Raffle Tickets • Items Purchased at or Donated to the Auction & Gala Donations Made to the Auction & Gala Paddle Raise • Event Tickets or Registration Gifts to the Endowment • Capital Gifts • Parent Association Fundraisers St. Anne’s School is audited annually and we report our financial data to the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and the Association of Independent Maryland Schools (AIMS). As a result, our record keeping system must align with established industry standards. One of those standards is to measure Constellation Fund participation separately from overall Annual Giving, which encompasses ALL gifts to the School. 5.

EIGHTH GRADE LEGACY GIFT

At the culmination of each student’s journey at St. Anne’s School, the Eighth Grade class comes together to select a Legacy Gift—a meaningful contribution designed to leave a lasting impact on the School’s campus and community.
Capital Giving: Significant gifts that support the School’s long-term priorities, growth, and capital projects. Matching Gifts: As an employee benefit, more than 1,500 American parent companies (such as Northrup Grumman and T. Rowe Price) match their staff’s philanthropic contributions. Matching gifts allow you to double or even triple your gift to St. Anne’s School!
Last year, the Class of 2026 raised $8,175 to fund a new audio mixer and microphones for St. Anne’s School’s Performing Arts program, enhancing performances across the School and, especially, the beloved Eighth Grade Musical.

Gifts In Kind: Donations of goods and services rather than money. Examples include donating auction items to the annual Auction & Gala fundraiser or other items such as vehicles, consulting services, etc. Planned Giving: A planned gift benefits both the donor and the School. The donor reduces taxes, increases income, or satisfies another personal financial need. A planned gift may be a bequest, trust, or a gift of real or personal property. The School receives a significant outright or deferred gift.
TRUSTEE ENDOWMENT The Trustee Endowment is a permanent investment in the future of St. Anne’s School. By preserving the principal and using investment earnings to support the School’s highest priorities, the Endowment provides a lasting source of financial strength and ensures resources are available to support generations of Stars to come.

EQUITY IN EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
Equity in Education Scholarship Recipient, Amy Lopez-Cruz ‘24
The Equity in Education Scholarship, founded in 2020 by St. Anne’s School parents Nate and Besse Rose, provides local, underrepresented students with the opportunity to attend St. Anne’s School during the formative Sixth through Eighth Grade years. Through this fully supportive scholarship, students gain access to a St. Anne’s School education while enriching the diversity of our community and building a strong foundation for success in high school, college, and beyond.
In 2024, the Equity in Education Scholarship Endowment was established at the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County to sustain this opportunity for generations to come. To date, more than $2 million has been raised, creating a lasting investment in future scholars and the greater Annapolis community.

St. Anne’s School holds a few fundraising events each year and the success of these events is entirely dependent upon the generosity of the community. We hope that you will support these events by making a financial contribution, serving on an event committee, purchasing tickets and attending, donating an item to the annual Auction & Gala, bidding on auction items, or considering an individual or corporate sponsorship.
turkey trot • November 1-30, 2026 • The annual Turkey Trot is a month-long giving campaign that supports the Constellation Fund while encouraging 100% parent participation. Every gift made in the month of November—regardless of size—helps your child’s grade-level turkey make its way across the front of the School. For example, if your family has a Preschool student and makes a Turkey Trot gift, the Preschool Turkey advances one step closer to the finish line. Once every family in a grade has participated, that grade’s turkey crosses the finish line! Last year, the Turkey Trot brought in $130,624 and saw 86% parent participation with 3 grade-level turkeys crossing the finish line. We can’t wait to see how our turkeys trot this year!

At St. Anne’s School, we mark the occasion by thanking our families for their kindness and support with a special car line surprise. Families who feel inspired to extend their generosity are invited to make a GivingTuesday gift to the Constellation Fund. You know that saying, “It takes a village?” Well, we’re the village. And you are, too.
MyCompass Think of MyCompass as your main communication hub—it’s where you will find student information and school resources including teacher bulletins, report cards, Parent & Student Handbook, etc.
Every St. Anne’s School parent is automatically a member of the Parents Association (PA). We meet monthly to discuss upcoming events, swap fun(d)raising ideas, form committees, and organize events that enrich our children’s education, foster a sense of community, and assist the School in its endeavors. And, of course, we have a TON of fun along the way! Monthly PA meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month at 8:30 a.m. Mark your calendars now for: September 2, October 7, November 4, December 2, January 6, February 3, March 3, April 7, and May 5. 2026-27 Parents Association Leadership Team • • •

*Please note: Some PA events serve as fundraisers, with proceeds directly supporting PA initiatives, including faculty and staff appreciation. PA fundraising is separate from the School’s fundraising efforts, but both provide meaningful support that strengthens and enriches our Star community.

Download the MyCompass mobile app on your Apple or Android device and login using your school credentials for important school-related information and Parent Group chats. While you will still need to login to the MyCompass desktop portal from time-to-time to access report cards, sign forms, etc. the MyCompass mobile app is your one-stop-shop for staying informed. Additionally, the Resources tab on MyCompass is where you can find links to various platforms we use at St. Anne’s School (PikMyKid, Vidigami, Tuition Management, the Stars Shop, etc.) as well as information on the St. Anne’s School Parents Association, K-8 uniform policies, curriculum overviews, and more. PikMyKid New this year, St. Anne’s School will use the PikMyKid app to streamline several important school functions. Families will use the app to report student absences and early dismissals, while the School will use it to send mass communications regarding closures, emergencies, and other time-sensitive information. Additionally, in accordance with MSDE requirements, families with children enrolled in our Program for Young Children or Extended Day Program will use PikMyKid to check their children in and out each day. Please visit the “PikMyKid Resources” tile under the Resources tab in MyCompass for additional information and instructions. All parents are asked to download the PikMyKid app before the start of the school year. Vidigami Vidigami is St. Anne’s School’s private photo-sharing platform, providing families with one centralized place to view, search, and download photos of life at the School. With built-in facial recognition technology, parents can easily find photos featuring their children and save their favorites. Parents who have not yet joined our private Vidigami community will receive an email invitation containing a link to activate their account and begin accessing School photos.

You can help guide overall PA initiatives on our Leadership Team, plan beloved traditions with the Haunted Harvest Committee or Used Uniform Committee, connect with families as a Room Parent, or lend a hand as a general volunteer throughout the year.
