EVERY MUSTANG TELLS A STORY...
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquir ing this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!
My passion for Mustangs started when my parents brought home a white 2005 Mustang GT convertible. At the time, it was the fastest car I had ever driven, and I instantly fell in love with the feeling that only a Mustang can give you. It wasn’t just the power - it was the sound, and the retro but futuristic styling of the early S197. From those early days on, Mustangs became more than just vehicles to me. They represented freedom and excitement.
Since then, I’ve owned two Mustangs of my own - a white 2014 V6 and now my current S650 GT, which is truly my dream car. Living in South Texas, I get to enjoy driving it year-round through the hot, humid air of the Rio Grande Valley, where the car scene is full of passion and community. Beyond just driving, Mustangs have introduced me to friendships, car meets, and opportunities to connect with other enthusiasts who share the same passion. What I love most is that every Mustang tells a story, and this S650 represents years of hard work, dedication, and love for the platform. Even though it already feels special, I know this build is only getting started.

My 1968 Mustang isn’t just a car to me, it’s a feeling, a memory, and a piece of my soul brought to life every time I turn the key. The sound of the 289 exhaust has a heartbeat of its own, raw and powerful, echoing through me in a way no modern car ever could. The moment I slide behind the wheel, everything slows down. The stress disappears, the road opens up, and for those moments, it’s just me, the rumble of the engine, and the freedom that only an old Mustang can give. There’s something about the way it drives that feels alive, almost like the car understands me.
Every curve, every vibration, and every deep growl from the exhaust tells a story. This Mustang speaks to a part of me that words can barely explain, a connection built from passion, nostalgia, and pure emotion. Driving it isn’t about getting from one place to another, it’s about the experience, the sound, the attention it commands, and the way it makes me feel. I am completely at peace. No matter how many years go by, the love I have for this car only grows stronger. It’s more than metal and horsepower, it’s freedom, therapy, and a timeless piece of my heart.

LOVE FOR MUSTANGS LIVES ON...
My passion surrounding Mustangs started when I was a young kid riding in my dad’s 1969 Mustang Mach 1. Growing up, my dad always had one if not two Mustangs in the driveway that he would work on and then later resell. For as long as I can remember, I would attend car shows with my dad and grandpa. Cruising into the yearly shows right behind each other, I was excited that one day I will be in tow with them.

In 2024, I was finally able to purchase my first Mustang - a V6 2013, all blacked out. To some, it might not have seemed all that special, but to me it was the car I will take to car shows with my dad. This past year, I bought “Winter Storm.” I fell in love with the Performance White with Vista Blue stripes. It is such an iconic and stunning color. I knew I couldn’t pass up on it. It’s for sure a head turner, everyone telling me how beautiful it is, puts a smile on my face knowing not only I but others enjoy it as well. Fast forward and I am now enjoying car shows as my dad did with his father, and so the car show tradition and love for Mustangs lives on.

I AM VERY PROUD TO HAVE HER IN MY COLLECTION...
I wanted to take a moment to introduce you to my 60th Anniversary Edition GT, whom we have named Viviane. She is a truly special vehicle, marked as number 1,215 of only 1,965 ever produced. She is Wimbledon White but we have added the red pony in the front as well as some red in the engine compartment to help accent the red 60th stripe and badging.
We chose the name Viviane in honor of the Lady of the Lake, the legendary guardian of the sword Excalibur. I am very proud to have her in my collection.
