Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride! - Daniel Ramey, Editor-In-Chief

FOR THOSE WHO APPRECIATE THE ART OF DRIVING...

Here’s my 2013 Boss 302. I’ve been a car enthusiast my entire life and have been fortunate to own some incredible vehicles over the years. Of them all, this Boss 302 stands at the top of the list as my all-time favorite. This Boss is number 92 of just 792 produced in Gotta Have It Green. It currently features a Whipple supercharger, lowered suspension, cold air intake, carbon fiber rear seat delete, VMS Racing wheels wrapped in 305/45 Nitto drag tires, an MBRP catback exhaust, and factory Recaro seats. On its most recent dyno session, this Boss put down an impressive 662 horsepower and 515 lb-ft of torque.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquir ing this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

What truly sets this Boss 302 apart is its balance of raw performance and timeless character. Unlike today’s increasingly digital performance cars, the Boss rewards the driver with a connected, analog experience through its precise six-speed manual transmission, race-inspired suspension, and confidence-inspiring chassis. Every mile behind the wheel is a reminder that this isn’t just another Mustang - it’s a limited-production performance icon built for those who appreciate the art of driving.

THE CAR IS A FBO BOSS 302...

My name is Raff DiVitto and this is my 2012 Boss 302. The car is a FBO Boss 302. The difference is that the car is supporting “ALL Boss 302” core components including Boss factory parts, adding Boss Racing Cams, 4 mufflers to keep her quiet and nearly 500 WHP NA on Boss factory intake.

Trans is a Tremec 6 speed backed up with a 4.10 rear gear.

Cylinder heads were massaged in the bowl area. Only the rest is still factory.

Wheels are square all Apex 19x10” wrapped in 285/35/19

Continental Extreme Contact tires.

THE POWER OF THIS CAR IS AMAZING...

As a lifelong Mustang enthusiast, I’ve owned some rather nice Mustangs, but a Boss 302 was always the one I strived to own. In the summer of 2024, that dream came true. I introduce you to my 2013 Boss 302.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. This Boss, number 2202, came to me already done just like I would have wanted it. First, the color, Race Red, number 455 of 798 produced in 2013. Second, the Recaro seats and Torsen differential. Third and perhaps most important, an activated Track key. In addition to those things, the car has been lowered about 1 inch all around and wears aftermarket aluminum GT 350 style wheels wrapped in Nitto rubber. The Boss also sports a Laguna Seca style rear seat delete. Although the Roadrunner motor is stock, the power of this car is amazing.

Although I’ve driven a 70 Boss 302 and owned big block Mustangs from the 60s and driven newer Roush and Shelbys, the 2013 Boss is a true enthusiast’s car with the modern day comforts.

THE FIRST 2013 BOSS 302 THAT WAS FORCED INDUCTION...

My name is Reilly Cook and this is my 2013 Boss 302. She is GRNNMEAN (green and mean).

She was the first 2013 Boss 302 that was forced induction (done back in 2012 by first owner). The car has a Hellion twin turbo, twin Precision 6266s.

Since I’ve had the car, I’ve had to add quite a bit to truly finish what the first owner started. I added a McLeod RST clutch, single piece driveshaft, boost controller, MGW shift kit, billet oil pump gears, fuel system, and bigger injectors. The car is currently 700 whp on 93 octane at 11 lbs of boost.

AN UNMISTAKABLE ATTITUDE THAT ONLY A BOSS CAN DELIVER...

Blucifer, the 2025 Ponies In The Smokies “Best 13-14” isn’t just another muscle car. It’s my 2013 Boss 302 engineered to deliver unapologetic America horsepower. Each shift feels like a punch to the chest while it’s begging for the next corner, not the next stop sign.

Not built for luxury or trends, Blucifer brings an unmistakable attitude that only a Boss can deliver. Every shift, every corner, and every mile reminds you that the Boss isn’t just transportation - it’s an experience. Fire it up, bury the throttle, and you will understand why!

BOSS 1 & 2 - 1970 AND 2013 BOSS 302

IT IS OLD SCHOOL LIKE ME...

My passion for Mustangs began in 1970 when I turned 16. My older brother sold me his Ford Falcon and he bought a 1966 baby blue Mustang with a 289 3 speed. He let me drive it a few times and I was hooked.

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

In 1971, after wrecking the Falcon, I bought a 1968 Mustang coupe with a 302 and 3 speed. I loved the car and drove it hard including driving through orange groves in Orlando. When I wasn’t driving it, I was fixing it or making “improvements”. A friend of mine bought a used 1970 white Boss 302 around the same time and I thought it was the coolest car ever built. I loved everything about the car but what really got me hooked was the sound of that throaty exhaust. He ended up totaling the Boss and before they hauled it away we cut the exhaust system off and installed it on my 68 but it just didn’t sound the same.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. condition with the red track key, for a good price. So now I’m the proud owner of both models. Although I love the handling and performance of the 13, I think I get the biggest kick while going through the gears in the 70. Maybe because it is old school like me. Now two of my grandkids drive Mustangs so the passion continues.

My cousin bought a 1970 Grabber Blue Boss 302 in 1985 and drove it around 4000 miles before parking it in his garage under a cover in 2002. It stayed there 20 years until I finally convinced him to sell it to me in 2022. My son and I spent about 6 months getting it running and driveable. After a few setbacks it runs great, drives great, and is very reliable. I drive it mostly to car shows but sometimes just take it for a spin around town for the fun of it and to hear that exhaust which I still love so much. A couple months ago I was at a car show admiring a 2013 Gotta Have It Green Boss 302 when the owner mentioned it was for sale. Only 13000 miles, in excellent
