STANG Magazine Special Edition Issue: 250th America 2026 Volume 1

Page 1

Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride! - Daniel Ramey, Editor-In-Chief

RUBY ROCKET - 2015 ROUSH STAGE 3

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

MY TICKET

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquir ing this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

TO DREAMS COMING TRUE...

Ruby Rocket is my 2015 Roush Stage 3 with 670 hp. I bought her in 2018 with 2,300 miles. Since then she has become my ticket to dreams coming true.

I autocross, track, and run her at the dragstrip and show her. She does everything I’ve asked, flawlessly.

I feel extremely fortunate to own this car and have a husband who keeps her looking and running immaculate while I have all the fun. It is a pretty sweet deal!

SIMON - 2014 MUSTANG

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

IT IS A REAL HEAD TURNER...

My name is DeeDee Knox and this sleek “Gotta Have It Green” 2014 Ford Mustang is my dream car. I call him Simon. I wanted to get a sports car but it had to be “Son” approved. My sons are all about cars! They actually found this Mustang for me and I park it in the driveway next to their cars. I haven’t seen another Gotta Have It Green color car in my area so when you see it, you know it’s me. I like the compliments I get. It is a real head turner. I take my dog Diesel everywhere with me. He sits in the passenger seat.

My 2014 Ford Mustang V6 with Performance Package is the final model year for the beloved S197 (Gen 2) body style. Packs a little power with a 3.7 L engine and 305 HP. Simon runs with the herd at 0-60 in 6.1 seconds. He’s a 6 speed automatic featuring selectable “sport mode.” He has all leather interior with Recaro sportster GT racing seats and premium LED accented lights. The factory exhaust sounded a bit muted so I swapped out the mufflers to give it a deeper muscle car rumble.

I MAINLY DRIVE IT ON WEEKEND GETAWAYS...

My Mustang is a 2017 GT Performance Pack. I’ve named my GT “The Oppressor” after a type of tie fighter from Star Wars! Yes, I like Star Wars.

I bought the car used in 2017. It had 1,400 miles on it when I bought it and now I’m a little over 37,000! I mainly drive it on weekend getaways and I try to keep it clean!

My son also has a GT (2015). These are our second pair of Mustangs! We take them to car shows and do fun events with the cars! His little boy even has one! I’ve always been a fan of Mustangs. This is my fifth one and probably my last... at least if you ask my wife!

LOVE DRIVING IT EVERYWHERE...

My name is William Sullivan and this is my Mustang. It is a 2012 Ford Mustang V6.

I bought the Mustang in 2019 and love driving it everywhere. My son named it the Joker. I take it to car shows and on Mustang cruises. I have taken it down the drag track and ran 14.50 in a 1/4 mile.

I have put new smoked headlights, tail lights, lenses, and also a cold air intake on it. All in all, it has been a good car to drive.

ENJOYING EVERY MILE ALONG THE WAY...

Owning this 1968 Mustang has been an incredible journey.

It’s a car that turns heads everywhere it goes, but what means the most is the feeling it gives me every time I slide into the driver’s seat and hear the engine come to life.

It’s not about having a perfect show car - it’s about preserving something special and enjoying every mile along the way. This Mustang is a reflection of my love for classic cars and the stories they continue to tell.

THE GREATEST GIFT I HAVE EVER RECEIVED...

My name is Tyrone Simmons. I am a retired U.S. Army veteran and a lifelong car enthusiast. My passion for cars started at a young age, rooted in the memory of my father’s 1966 Mustang. Decades later, my wife surprised me with the ultimate gift: a 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse. It is truly the greatest gift I have ever received. Today, I love taking her out for weekend cruises and attending local car shows.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. Current upgrades include a Stage 2 Procharger supercharger with a D1X head unit and Kooks 1 7/8-inch green catted headers. All work was professionally installed by Late Model Domestic in Virginia Beach, VA, and tuned by Palm Beach Dyno. More upgrades are on the horizon, but I love driving this car so much it is hard to part with her for even a few days!

The car was tuned by Palm Beach Dyno. It is tuned on 93 pump gas for 750 wheel horsepower and E85 for 910 wheel horsepower. It is a weekend driver to car meets, cruise ins and cars and coffees, but we also take it out of town to car shows. It is a monster when you hit the gas, but it is comfortable and tame when you just want to cruise. My license plate sums it up - “EAT M ALL.”

REFORGED - 2003 MACH 1

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

WHAT MAKES THIS CAR UNIQUE IS ITS HISTORY...

My love for Mustangs started long before I ever owned one. Growing up, my father had a 1972 Mustang Mach 1, and ever since I was a kid, I’ve been drawn to the Mach 1 name. While my dream car remains a 1970 Grabber Blue Mach 1 powered by a 428 Cobra Jet, life eventually led me to a different chapter of Mustang history. This 2003 Mach 1 became my way of connecting the cars I admired as a child with the passion I’ve carried throughout my life. Over the years, I’ve carefully modified it with components from Steeda, BMR, MGW, Borla, American Racing Headers, and other respected manufacturers while preserving the character that makes the Mach 1 special.

What makes this car unique is its history. During my ownership, I learned that it was one of the original development vehicles used during Vortech’s design and testing of the supercharger system for the 2003–2004 Mach 1 platform. At some point, the car was returned largely to stock form, and my long-term goal is to continue rebuilding it while honoring that heritage. As I prepare to retire from the United States Air Force after twenty years of service on July 1, 2026, this project has become more than just a Mustang. It represents preservation, craftsmanship, and the beginning of a new chapter. The journey continues under the name Mach1_Reforged.

RED ROCKET - 1997 KENNY BROWN 289RS COBRA

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

MUSTANGS ARE MY THING...

Here is my 1997 Kenny Brown 289RS Cobra. Also known as “Red Rocket” via the magazine publications like Car and Driver, Motortrend, Muscle Mustangs, etc...

This was Kenny Brown’s personal car and media car for the company. I actually had the magazine photo in my high school locker. So it was definitely a dream car of mine years ago. The car became available for sale at Mecum’s Florida sale.

I got very fortunate to be able to purchase the car. It is definitely a part of the family now, as I have owned over 35 Mustangs. I still have a 2017 GT350R, 1966 Mustang, and now this.

As a representative of “Frontline Vehicle Solutions” I’m fortunate enough to sponsor the IMSA Ford Mustang GT4 team “Kohr Motorsports.” We also are the exclusive Florida Saleen Dealer and work closely with Kenny Brown Performance. So Mustangs are my thing.

OLD HOLLYWOOD GLAMOUR...

Angelica DaVinci has old Hollywood glamour. She is a car show model while also being a Traditional & Digital Artist, Videographer, and Editor of Video and Photography. She models at outdoor car shows from Spring to Autumn for a lot of charity events that advocate for the Military, Police, and Firefighters. She creates music videos of every car show she attends that are posted up on her YouTube Channel “Angelica DaVinci”. You can also follow her on Instagram. In her digital artwork, she creates full new environments for owners of their vehicles without AI. She worked with STANG Magazine prior as she created a calendar for America’s Warriors Care Package Project. All the proceeds went towards the charity to make sure the deployed military got their care packages. She keeps all her modeling classy and family oriented. Aside from her enthusiasm for Muscle car culture, she loves the older styles including Panther De Ville and Roadsters.

She was the videographer for the “The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall” For Babylon Vault Company and created a four hour long documentary in honor and remembrance of those who served many treacherous years without a welcome

home. You are not forgotten. She volunteers for Wreaths Across America when she can.

Her values align with traditional conservative roots of America and the American Dream. God. Family. Country.
